V6 Exaust

New to the forum. I have an '07 V6. I just put a BBK CAI and 70mm throttle body, and I am looking to put a different exhaust. Nothing big, just replace the muffler. I am stuck between the Borla Axel-Back and the Flowmaster American Thunder. What do you all think?

Welcome to TMS, I would recommend checking out some exhuast videos on YouTube so you can have a better idea of what it will sound like ( if you haven't already).
As for the mufflers, I've always been a fan of Borla's, so that would be my pick

Are you looking for dual exhaust or single? I have one laying around my garage and its for flow master american thunder. If youre interested let me know.

Borla has always been my favorite. Although in the near future, I'm planning on getting a custom dual exhaust with H-pipe and muffler delete. I think it sounds much better, if you're willing to pay a little more...

On my first PP Mustang, an 06, I used a Pypes true-dual with GT mufflers, and it sounded sweet, and had a nice throaty sound. My second PP Mustang (the GO 09 in the pic on my avatar) I left the single and installed a FRPP "touring" muffler, and it too, sounds awesome. I heard that these are made for Ford by Borla. Definitely worth every cent, and a lot easier than doing duals again.
I don't see the 05-09 one available at the moment, but it looks like this:

I will second this. As long as you don't mind some drone lol

Both of the mufflers you are asking about are good though. Mostly personal preference.

Here is my Flowmaster Force II catback, the single flowmaster will give a similar sound.

I'm going to be upgrading the exhaust system on my 06 V6 as well and I was thinking of going with a pypes mid muffler dual exhaust system it's a catback system. I was also going to change the headers for pypes shorty headers, does anyone hear know if this is a good combination to add power and a nicer sound? Youtube videos just don't do the justice of a realistic sound. Will this combo sound like a mean v8 or close to it?
