Ubly Dragway had a Test and Tune today... Alternative Auto was there... so I had Lidio make a pass with the car... Needless to say Lidio made a GREAT PASS!!!! (and just in time it started to rain right after he finished!)

I did make a couple of passes... the LCA definitely got rid of any signs of wheel hop! The car still has trouble hooking though... spins way to easy... What do you guys think about me pulling the stiffer lowering springs out and putting the stock ones back in????

Ok... here the part you've been waiting for!!!

60' - 2.059
1/8 - 8.629
1/8 MPH - 82.191
1/4 - 13.415
1/4 MPH - 103.632

Here's the video (3MB)

13.4 Run

Gosh... now I'm think perhaps 12 isn't so far away after all... LOL! Lidio says he KNOWS the car has more in it... it's just not hooking good.. the 4.10s just break that tires way loose when the spray hits... I'm putting in drag shock next week and i'm seriously thinking of putting those soft stock springs back in... ????

So lets say the stock springs give you back your front to back weight transfer, and your at 13.4 now.. This may get you to 12.99!! Maybe 13.09! Good Lord!! Amazing, all this with the 100 Shot huh? Very nice day indeed for all 05 V6 owners!! A darn fine day!!

Based on your time today, and based on our knowledge of the stiffer rear springs, that were a very bad idea to begin with, I have the utmost of confidence that your going to nail something below 13.0.. My prediction will be a 12.7 ET!! I stand behind this prediction..

Those stiffer springs have cheated you out of atleast .7 tenths on this particular run.. Norwalk should bring to light that the 100Shot is good for less than 13 sec..

So right now, a Bone Stock GT must fear you, and pull to the right when they see you approach!! LOL!! I love it!! Great Job Mr. President Sir!!

If you don't mind me asking how much has it cost you to make your V6 a 13 second car? Want to know if it is something I could feasibly do someday money wise.

I'll tell you what is most impressive to me about the situation.. Scrming stuck to his guns about the 100Shot and did not easily increase to the 125 or higher jets.. Knowing that it may actually be possible to get into the 12's with just the 100shot, means that increasing the jets higher should just lead to much faster times, and possibly allowing for an 11 sec 150shot.. Now we know Powerhouse best time thus far is a 12.3 et with the 150 jets, but scrming's progress gives me hope that a 150 shot could possibly get to 11sec+... This leaves the door wide open for speculation about the 175 shot, which is the ultimate goal, once confidence is built up..

Trust me... I the thought of the 125HP shot crossed my mind more than once yesterday... But Lidio and I pretty much agree... More power right now is not the answer... We need to get the car to hook better first... The 100HP shot breaks the tires loose pretty easily right now... I can't imagine what the 125HP would do! LOL!

The car season is pretty much winding down here in Michigan... I'll get the stock springs put back in these week, get the rear drag shock installed and my 2nd Zex bottle... then it's off to Norwalk next Saturday to try it all out! LOL!

Ok... Can anyone recommend a good 70/30 front strut??? LOL!

Awesome!
The car still seems to be holding up strong and relieble at that power range with ease, very valuable information and accomplishments.

I am confident that our next "Scrming's Presentation" will be of a video where a Yellow 05 V6 streaks through the traps at something on the order of 12.XX ET.. The stock springs are going to allow your new tires to dig in alittle harder into the pavement.. What once broke loose momentarily for about .7 seconds during launch, will have enough weight with the stock springs to propel the car forward decreasing your 60ft time, and also running throught the traps ahead of the last video..

Following the video which shows a 100shot trapping through @ 12.xx, expect many internet watchers to try and furiously attempt some type of back flip, in their chairs, while sitting at their computers..

Interestingly enough, Scrming is only at the 100shot level, and the SOHC 4.0 has already been certified at the 150shot level.. So understanding what the implications are surrounding this, one really has to admire a true respect for the art of "Patience frout with Sanity".. By turning his focus away from power, but more towards a controlled launch, Scrming is actually doing R&D which would sometimes take many months.. Using the existing power level, and decreasing the 1/4 mile time is a very strategic move.. This not only speaks volumes for the SOHC 4.0, and its ability to maintain a degree of reliablilty as you say, but offers up a more profound and determined set of circumstances.. One of which consist of a scenario where it is highly possible that the SOHC 4.0 has the ability to run an 11.xx time with a 150shot, which is already been proven safe for operation..

So now take into the context of buying an 06 V6, and a $540 Nitrous kit, and combining the two together, and having an 11.xx sec V6 Mustang.. The implications will be realized world wide..
