Throttle body install on 2007 v6

Hey everyone. I just purchased a 2007 4.0 Mustang coupe Torch Red w/ black stripes. When it comes to cars and understanding them I am definently inexperienced and a rookie, but I want to upgrade my throttle body to a 70mm and it looks easy to install. My question is about the spacer that is available. Is it needed and what purpose and or benefit does it provide? Thanks for any help.

Are you looking for more power? All you really need is a tune for the V6.

I thought it might give me a little boost in hp and maybe a little more gas mileage. I have a tune but if I tune it to performance I will need to use premium fuel.

spacer provides no increase, as far as the throttle body, its kinda a waist unless you have some kind of boost

I have a throttlebody on my 06 v6 and ill tell you right now, its a waste of money and its def. not worth it. I noticed NO hp gains at all. Youre better off spending that money on a good tuner, underdrive pulley, gears/tlock

thats pretty much all ive heard on the subject too. i would think the tb might help just a wee bit, but the spacer is useless.

Hey my man! I'm thinking about going with the Zabteck TB for my 6er. I think it shows about 5-11 HP on a supercharged ride, so I can see a NA ride with no HP gains. I've included a link for you. Please don't get the BBK TB! And please be safe out there!

Denny!
