Hi, I was wondering how many of you are running synthetic oil? I have ran synthetic in my 01' v6 and gained 2 mpg. I used Royal purple before. I am torn between Royal purple and Mobil 1 any opinions?

Lots of threads already on this topic ..... most people have opinions ...... some of them very strong. I use Mobil 1 on both of mine.

 

Mobil 1 is cheaper and easier to find, royal purple looks cool and states you'll gain HP neither one are bad both are great. I use royal purple and I really like it.

I'm running RP products throughout on my ride (engine, tranny and diff) and am very happy with them. Their Synchromax quieted a tranny that was somewhat noisy since new, and I have their MaxGear in the differential and it's quiet and I've never heard the "truetrac shuffle" many owners of that diff talk about.

 

Although I am sure Royal Purple is great, I have not used it. I am a Mobil1 User myself.

I had mine changed after 5k miles and it looked like the day it was put in.
