Superchips just released a new chip for the 2005 mustang V6 manual and automatic.

http://www.superchips.com/html/products/fo...2005Mustang.htm

Kind of a dissapointment though. I was hoping for more power from the manual. Just have to wait and see what results the predator will give. What kinds of numbers are you guys getting from the SCT and SCT 2 on the dynos? Just looking for a comparison. Thanks

The 4.0L Mustang V6 power gains using 87 Octane fuel:

Automatic Trans: 12.5 HP / 19.2 lb/ft

Manual Trans: 6.3 HP / 7.2 lb/ft

87 Octane fuel only / 91 octane file is not required

Does sound pricey.

Does the Xcal and Xcal 2 give hp/tq gains with an 87 octane tune?

i emailed jet performance and here what they said about their chip...

Our Ford modules are not available in different stages like our GM
modules,
but the Mustang module for the V-6 will make an additional 15-18
horsepower
to the wheels.

Engineered For Power!
i think it would be another alternative to superchips. i personally have this in my car and it gives a throatier sound to your exhaust. you can also feel the little power bump in the mid-high rpms....so i do belive it would give you 15-18 hp...

Man I miss the Good Ol Days !!! When you could get your hands into the engine and play with it...and they looked like motors....not a plumbers convention... I miss these....

That's a BOSS 351...shesh... J/K.... All I meant was ya can't do much of your own work on the new cars unless you have a degree in computer sciences and a million dollars worth of computers!!

Anyway... ..kinda, I really would like to find good information on the chips and programming if anyone knows of any.

....350 ....

Not to get too OT, but when did they make a boss 351? I've only seen Boss 302's and Boss 429's.... I know of the 351 Clevelands and 351 Windsors... Not sure... I'm a classic stang guy too... or atleast i thought I was.

EDIT: Never Mind. I see... 1971. I never much look past 1970... call it a character flaw.

ROFL! Yeah... I know I should respect the power, but the look hasn't much apealed to me. You can launch aircraft off of the HOOD. LOL! No disrespect meant to the 71-73 guys... It's still a stang, and I've seen some really REALLY tastefully done Verts.

I've got a 66 (the secretary's car), so I guess I can't say much about being BOSS.
