Bought mufflers from Mike @ Casco. Installed right muffler on Saturday-excellent tone as others have reported. However, I do notice an increase in coarseness over the lower rev band. I am going to transfer the mass damper over from the original muffler-hopefully this weekend. Will report when complete

I do not have any Gt take offs for Sale! New ones are about two bills! The ebay deal is cheap & easy! I am working with the Coffin Mufflers for the v6. The first one will be done today!

I just bought a right side GT muffler from Mike at Casco http://crashparts.cascocompany.net/
He normally sells the duals, but agreed to just the single since I don't want a GT bumper or modify the original. $30 plus $25 shipping! Give 'im a call... he's a good guy.
I also ordered the new headers from MAC performance... I'll post sounds when they're both on.

The tip does not look bad at all, not too far out. I painted the muffler black on my car, it hides the bulkiness of the muffler once i got my GT muffler installed. I have no problems with any vibration do to the weight not being on the GT muffler as it is on the stock v6. If you install headers in place of the stock manifolds, and run the exhaust through the single stock pipe and out the new GT muffler, do you need to reflash the comp for this modification as you would if you had installed a CAI?? Many Ford dearlers in my area said if you play around with the computer in the car, you can kiss your warranty good-bye. I would like to install headers next.........thanks...Kip

I seem to recall reading in some Mustang board that if you relfash the computer back to stock and drive at highway speeds for something like 15-20 minutes then they won't be able to tell. Dunno much about it. I'm curious too since I'll eventually get a CAI.

Thought you all would like to see a pic of the muffler installed. I am not sure if the tip hangs out too far-feedback would be appreciated!

I am a new member and I picked up my Black '05 V6 manual in December. I bought the GT mufflers off ebay and installed the right side one. It sounds great and I noticed a slight increase in power. My question is, does anyone else's exhaust tip rub up against the bumper? Mine does and I'm worried that it might melt or warp the bumper cutout. Is this an issue or does the exhaust tip not get hot enough to cause any harm? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

It will melt your cover! Loosen the Headpipe and reposition so tip points down! You may also need to bend the mounting arms! You need about a half an inch air space!

Right side GT muffler installed on my redfire V6... Sounds great! Nice and throaty! It's rainy here in Oregon (and the car needs a wash), so I haven't driven around much yet, but there seems to be a bit more pep. I unhooked the negative battery terminal for a few minutes, then recorded a few revs.
