Stick to autobox conversion

If you don't wanna shift anymore but don't want to sell the car, how practical is a conversion to an automatic for an '06 V6? Does the autobox use a different length driveshaft? Is the trans electronically controlled? Different pedal assy? What would this job cost? (assume the trans & other parts came from a boneyard car)

Slow day here...

Interesting thread, but those guys were swapping in a race automatic - I'm just interested in a stock autobox for my street car. I know it'd be a lot of work, just wanted to know if anybody had done it(?)

I have wanted to do an auto to manual swap!!!! wanna trade??

Here is a auto to manual trade page http://mustangcollective.com/showthread.php?t=15949

What i get is that if you are even slightly mechanically inclined you can do it.

If we did trade we would have everything needed. You could have my computer/harness, transmission, and all other goodies and we wouldn't need anything else. I would be willing to trade straight up any we would only have to pay for shipping. Pm me or e-mail me at cpeacock@alltel.net if you are really interested.

They're are a bunch of very intelligent people on the mustangcollective who i am sure could lead us through this for sure if you really wanted to follow through with this.
