I've had the shifter for a while now. I'm pretty happy with the differance it made over stock. The only problem i've had, is the base came loose from vibration. I sugest using Loc-tite on the four set screw to ensure it doesnt come loose.

That's a great idea. Next time I have it up in the air, I will do that. I think I will email STEEDA and have them add a step in the instructions:

"Before inserting new spacer bushing, lightly sand inside of cup."

This should make it easier to install the new, tighter fitting bushing.

I have a 20ton press, so it was pretty easy for me lol.

But ya, sanding would have been a good idea, didnt even think bout it since i have a press.

Could you also show pics of the tight spacer bushing?

Thanks...

I didn't take any pics, but when I decide to pull it back out and put loc-tite on the set screws I will take some pics.

As for the tight bushing, I am not sure why I had a hard time. I tried to push it in by hand, I tried the socket and hammer and then finally the press. It was adequately lubed with WD-40 first(this didn't help at all,) and then with white lithium assembly lube(this helped more.) Once I got it set in place the rest of the install was very easy, except my arm got tired from working the ratchet over my head on the nuts that hold the back end of the shifter to the body...haha.

LOL. nice. We have special commercial lubricant at my shop. This stuff is amazing. WD-40 doesnt do anything in comparison. They probalby used that, and got it on with no probs
