When I first got my Stang back in December, I noticed that the breaks (while bitey) faded quickly. Since then, I've been packing miles on the car like pounds on a fat man at a country buffet. I've noticed that over time, the breaks have gotten much better and the fade is substantially less than it was when I first got the car.
I've built up a nice coating of brake material on the rotors now, and it seems to really help the car stop more effectively (wasn't familiar with bedding before recently).
All of that said, I'm anticipating a replacemnt of the rotors at some point in the future (way way off), and I'm wondering which suppliers manufacture slotted and/or cross drilled rotors that would fit.
I've done some searching on the web, and as of yet I haven't found any companies that make rotors for the 05's yet. I'm sure they will in the coming years, and I'd like to know the who's who of these folks that way I know who to watch out for. I know Brembo is a great manufacturer (or at least they've squared up their products on show cars and high end sports cars - says something to me....).
I'd definately like to put cross drilled or slotted on there to help with the fading. I also read that the new fusion will have slotted front rotors. I wonder if they would fit... Hm...
Anyone have any ideas?

FYI AND I'm NOT trying to sell anything, but, our store sells Brembo and just got the new 2005-06 price book, no listing for any 05 Mustang rotors. Drilled look cool, but they may stress crack around the holes. Slotted will keep the pad surface "clean" and will help to remove the gas that builds up between the pad and rotor. Just my 2 cents worth....

That's some great info austexstang. I've always wondered the difference. I notice that most motorcyle applications use cross drilled while cars tend to opt for slotted in the trenches (I see cross drilled on show cars like the Shelby).
If you happen to see anything pop up on the radar, keep us posted. I'm anxious to see how much bite some quality slotted rotors would add.

I'm no brake expert, as I've posted asking for advice just as you have. Right now, I'm keeping an eye on Wilwood, just because I'm familiar with the name and have seen it used on several hot rods. Still no brake for the '05 it seems from their website. Although I do think there is some guy selling some on ebay caliming he has some that fit. You may want to try searching through some auctions...

They have some slotted rotors on V6 Mustang Stuff by Power Slot. Here is the link: http://www.v6mustangstuff.com/05Brakes.htm

Nice! $239 a pair... Hm... I'll have to wait a bit.
"If it ain't broke... Don't fix it"
But I'm definately planning on connecting with a set of these. I'll have to go in stages. Since the front ones are fading the worst, they'll go first.
Thanks for the tip off Cameron.
