Does anybody know if the threads are the same on the '05 shifter ***** as the '04 shifters? 12mmX1.75? I want to change out my shifter ****. Should just unscrew? Mine is on super tight, don't wanna break anything. Also had some thoughts of adding a rear swaybar from a GT. any thoughts??.........Thanks...Kip

Adding the rear bar from the GT might work well, but it might not. The front and rear bars have to be matched to work right. Spring rates and front/rear weight distribution are also a factor. Adding a rear bar to a car that was tuned to handle well without one will probably make it oversteer in some situations.

I would be more inclined to buy a matched set that is designed specifically for the V6. Eibach makes one, maybe others too.

How did you test it? Just to be clear, when I said "oversteer," I wasn't talking about the steering. What I mean is the back tires might reach their limit before the front tires do.

Me, I'd want to run it through the cones just to be sure. Or push it to the limit around a cloverleaf to be sure the back end doesn't come around, especially off throttle and/or in the rain. But I'm not recommending that *you* do that -- driving your car off the road is your own business.

The size in shifters is supposed to be different between the 04/05 models. Havent tested it personally, but remember seeing a post on it somewhere in here before.

Awesome.. many thanks. Maybe someone will wise up and make us an aftermarket short-throw and just solve all our problems.

PS: The one Steeda has out for the GT wont link up with our tranny =(
