Shaker Hood System
Im serioulsy considering a shaker hood system for my car. I have a few questions first though to anyone that has this hood or knows anything about it. First, will it require a me to get a tune with it? And secondly what kind of performance gains are people getting from this system? Also, are there any cons, or downside to this system? Here is the link to what Im wanting to get- http://www.mossmustang.com/Shop/View...68&SortOrder=3 Thanks!

Nope you don't need a tune and performance gains are almost zero. The only benefit will be having cooler air in the engine bay. With that said it's still an awesome mod that will really add a whole new level of bad$$ness to your car. I've had mine for over a year now and couldn't be happier. To this day I still recieve compliments. So now it's just up to you to decide if you like it enough to spend the $$.
Here's some pics.
Kit as it looks from CDC.

Leo- Thanks for the pics! Looks awesome! Why did you remove the duct though, and what purpose does it serve? Also can the shaker work with an aftermarket cai unit such as the jlt or c&l? My car is a daily driver so is there any problems with the shaker while driving in the rain, etc? Sorry for so many questions.

mine is a daily driver too.... no rain problems, it has drains. the duct routes the cold air into the stock air box. and yes you can hook up a cai with the shaker, it just goes into the heat shield. i am getting a jlt soon. i will get some pics up as soon as i can once its installed. but there are pics on here somewhere with cai's and shakers... tacobill has the k&n and shaker combo

You won't find it any lower unless someone is selling a used one which is highly unlikely.

Thanks guys! American Muscle is only about 30 mins from my house so Im probably going to go up there to pick it up when I buy it. Cutting the hood is not my concern, my dad and I can do that, I was wondering what else was involved with the install, and if there is anything that we could really mess up. If its too hard, or just seems out of mine and my fathers league then Ill take it to a shop and let them do the install. Ive installed everything on my car myself, with the exception of the exhaust (which turned out horribly and is still being fixed to this day) so I would like to do as much of the work myself as possible.

I've got mine plumbed into a JLT2. I used some aircraft duct (SCAT) instead of the supplied elbow.
I also trimmed my plastic shroud under the scoop.
1st pic was before I trimmed the shroud.
