Satisfied?
I have never owned anything except Mustangs. This car is the best handling and riding of any stang I have ever had. This car handles exceptionally well in the rain compared to others. I am extremely satisfied with it, and will mod it with anything I see, that I just have to have!! I have a long want list and will check them off one at a time just to add another.
Ok.. I"ll give my input now.. Only being 17 i haven't drove alot of cars.. But from a 95 Celica, to a 00' Escort, 98' Ranger, Grand Am & Grand Prix.. The mustang is the best car i have drove. Not a big automotives person, but having this car and seeing some of the mods they have i can say i'll be one very very very soon. The Mustang handles better than any car i have drove and rides more comfortable than our 15 Passenger Van. And me being a senior in high school every one loves my car. I know it's not a GT and that is really way to much power, with wrecks in my past, speed is not somthing i desire. I have already installed the billet grille and would like to get many more mods. like the GT Rocker and also ordered some head lamp covers. I mean where i live people don't realize that ford has remodeded the mustang.. I mean even Automovtive stores. So he come out to look at my car and was amazed and said it was great. So if work permiting i'm going to a car show in the next town.
. Thanks for the input and i would definately give the v6 a 5/5.

Okay, I guess I'm the only one who is merely satisfied with this car. My opinion from when I first got it until now is that this car is okay.
It drives like a sedan, not a sports car. I grew up on Porsches and just sold my S2000, so I know how a sports car handles. This car doesn't handle particularly well at all, its closer to a Taurus. There's nothing wrong with that, but I don't see anything particularly wonderful about it either. The car is okay. It looks nice. It is comfortable on long drives.
I'm not disappointed in my purchase. I don't dislike the car, but I'm not in love with it. I don't take extra precautions to park it and I don't worry about it being stolen. It is a normal car, so I'm satisfied.

I am a 'vert owner, and the frame on this car is outstanding. Solid, no squeaks rattle or cowl shake. I'm sure given the laws of physics the coupe is somewhat stiffer, but the 'vert handles just fine (not Taurus-like at all)

I was wondering if there was a handleing difference between the coupe and the convertible. Perhaps the vert chassie has a little more give in it than the coupe does, hence the Taurus feel. Any vert owners have any input on this issue?

Kinda off topic, but I was browsing the latest issue of MMFF and the first letter in it was from some guy who finally got his GT and at the end he had to add how the V6 is a "complete turd". I have never wanted to contact someone so bad in my life to see how he came to that conclusion.

I used to drive a 1966 Mustang everday. I was really worried about getting a V6 coming from owing a V8 car for soo long. I was shocked  how well the V6 car preformed. No it won't replace my classic but I love her all the same
Very nice car

I am completely satisfied with my car. I was originally going to get a GT, but the difference in cost and insurance as well as avaliability led me to the V6. I am not disapointed at all, however. I don't race, so it has plenty of power for me. It is leaps and bounds faster than my 2002 V6 automatic that I traded in for this car. It is a blast to drive, and performs well in every situation I've been in. It may not be quite as fast as some cars, or handle quite as well, but it holds its own, and looks better than almost anything else out there while doing so.
My Stang is not here yet but test drove one and to be honest it was like a dream, I seriously have a fuzzy aura surounding that test drive. The V6 roared out of the dealership to the point where I was scared of the gas (being 21 that doesn't happen often) I really was not expecting that much performance out of a V6. I know this car is going to be more then I will need power wise, my friend raced with me, he has a 2003 Mustang V6 and that only had a 3.8 with 198 HP and he smoked me, I have a 2003 toyota Tacoma with dual exaust, a K&N air filter with over 325 HP and I still lost. So for me the GT would be over Kill. I also drove a 2004 cobra and that thing scares me, it had a racing chip in it among other things it was at 489 HP! so I will be more then happy with the V6. I don't know whats up with all the V6 hate but what ever
. Plus when you drive past that kid from high school who always had the coolest car and you wave to him as you pass his not not cool any more car in a Mustang and watch him drool it doesn't matter if it's a 6 or an 8.

Come on now, people. We all KNOW a V6 Mustang is not a real Mustang! You're all just wannabes!
On a serious note, I am satisified with my V6. It performs well, especially considering the price. And it looks OUTSTANDING!

I am very satisfied with mine. I have thought about trading to an '06 GT, but I think high gas prices are here to stay and the .01% of the time I drive it at wide open throttle does not make it worth paying for more gas the other 99.99% of the time.
This car is a true Diamond in the rough.
For too long people have overlooked the V6 Mustang, and I feel it's justified. I have been in and driven the previous generation of V6 Stang. I'm not going to trip on the car because it certainly served its purpose. However, it doesn't hold a candle to this puppy. It was like a dumbed down version of the GT car. It always made me think that they started with a GT and then tried to find ways of making the V6 a lesser car.
The 05 makes me feel like they started with the V6 and said... now how can we make the GT a better car? You get absolutely STUNNING good looks, it rides and handles like a dream (even better than my Bimmer I used to have). It's quick, nimble, and fun. It's also distinctly American.
It's Economical, and its practical. The engine is smooth, and has plenty of power to impress. The growl is notworthy as well.
All and all, I wouldn't trade this car for anything else right now (save for perhaps a GT, but I couldn't afford the gas and the insurance!). It's the most spectacular car I can afford, and the quality is supurb. Hats off to everyone that put time and energy into making the dream a reality, because I certainly wouldn't be this happy in anything else. First time Ford buyer, first new (as in built in my lifetime) Mustang I've ever owned. Awesome car. Fun to drive every day.

I have a vert and am quite satisfied with it. I traded in a 99 Taurus for it (well the down payment anyway), so have some experience with both and the Mustang definitely handles better than the Taurus. I think the biggest problem of the Mustang is the tires. They feel just like my snow tires on my Civic - very mushy. I think some better tires on the stang would seriously improve the handling as I can tell there is a firm suspension under it. The other thing I would have liked is a T-Lok. I chose the V6 because I could get a fully loaded vert for the same price as a base GT coupe, and I don't regret it one bit.
I ditched the 16"s with the minivan tires (even though I did like the looks of the wheels) and put on the 17" Bullitt wheels. Looks and handles much better now. The stock tires on the V6 are a definite weak point in handling.
People diss the 05' v6 when actually it keeps up with many of the older mustangs and many more cars. It is 3x as cheap on insurance and a little bit cheaper on gas and gets all the attention that a GT gets.. thats for sure and runs like a gem.
So peoeple should quit dissing the car because it's a real mustang.. As real as GT no it doesn't have the same horses.. but did they call the older mustangs like the 69 and all of those classics GT or Mustang??

I wish they'd go back to it myself, but that's not gonna happen. Just gotta live with it.

I love where I see on other boards where people say they got a V6 and the automatic response is either why did you waste your $$ or why didn't you just get a GT?

I've actually been showing my car a lot at the local car shows. (sidenote: I had never even BEEN to a car show before this summer!) Couple things....
1) It's amazing the number of people who assume because my car is entered in the car show it's a V8... And if I wouldn't tell them it's not a GT they would have a clue... they would just go on thinking it's a V8
2) Some shows, all I hear all day long is "You should have got the GT". Sometimes I give them my laundry list of why I didn't opt for the GT and why the V6 is such a great car... Some of them are so biased against the V6 they will never accept the V6. But A lot of people take a lot of interest in what I have to say about the V6....
3) Lot of the guys immediately stick their nose up at my car. "OH, IT"S ONLY A V6". That's when I want to say, "And you parked your show car where? Oh, that's right your rusted out 1982 POS K-Car is out in the parking lot with the rest of the spectators! LOL!"
4) Some guys are really interested in the 05 Mustang and really listen to what I have to say about the new platform, longer wheel base, new 4.0L, how to remove the Torque limter... LOL!
The V6 has gotten such a bad rap over the years... some of it well deserved I'm afraid... But it's a whole new ballgame. The 4.0L has tremendous potential... The problem is there is such a stigma attached to the V6... well, I'm out there every weekend trying to change that! One person at a time! LOL!

I don't regret buying the V6 one bit. I get as many looks and comments about it as I likely would with a GT. People are always asking me how much I like it. I enjoy the envy. Not everyone can live the dream! The shocking part about the purchase was that my insurance went up only $1 for six months, and that was from a Focus ZTS. I thought it was a joke. Also, the power is more than enough for northeastern Illinois. You don't get around quickly in many places here anymore, and when I do get a chance to open it up, the 4.0 delivers, even in automatic (so my wife could drive it
). I had to concede something to get the car I've always dreamed of having. I couldn't afford the gas, anyway, with a GT, especially seeing it at $2.71 a gallon today, 87 octane. I don't see that coming down to under $2.00 ever again. No regrets here!
