Satisfied?
I'm very satisfied, It's my daily driver and I don't even try to drive it quickly often, but it really just likes to go.
When I want to go however, it goes pretty darn good. A great passing car, sometimes I pass when I don't need to because I get bored driving a steady speed. Downshift it to 3rd at 60, and your back is tight pressed on that seat.
Cornering is great too, I feel confident on those freeway bridge bends. Taking them at 90 and I still feel in complete control.
I have yet to push my stopping power to it's limit, but it feels like it'll stop plenty good.
My biggest love is launching and scratching the tires during an upshift

Are you satisfied with the 05' Mustang V6 as in performance? Or do you regret buying it??

So yes, i was satisfied when I bought my car... I've made some performance enhancements now and I'm even MORE satisfied! LOL! It has now become almost like a personal challenge just to see how much performance I can get out of this car... and having an absolute BLAST while doing it! LOL!
I love the V6. However, I do still plan on buying a GT. I was planning on waiting 3 years or so before purchasing a GT. It looks like I might be able to move up the plans by a few years. I'm hoping to have an '06 GT in the next 6 months. I love the feel of my '66 with a V8 (and the GT should be quite a bit faster than it), and it's a totally different feeling than the '05 V6 gives me.
Don't get me wrong, the V6 is wonderful. I've put about 4000 miles on it, and I will probably be driving it from Phoenix to Indianapolis in the near future. I'm really looking forward to the drive, just because of the car I get to ride in! However, I had my heart set on a GT in the beginning, and when I needed a new car, we decided the '05 V6 would be the perfect filler!

I lost my v6 as well, i havent even modded it yet and im running low and mid 15's at the track. Its been good to me, and ive been good to it. best car for under 20 grand in my opinion (in its class tahts for sure).
I love the v6. Plenty of "go" to be fun, handles well, sounds great (especially with a GT muffler installed). Just did a vacation trip from Boston to Kansas City and back, and honestly never enjoyed driving a car more in my life
Just to add a little perspective, I don't recall the mid-80's Mustang GT or IROC-Z Camaro being looked down upon performance-wise. Compare the figures below for the quarter to FAZM's track times:
October 1986 issue of Road & Track magazine: The Mustang GT edged-out the Camaro 5.7L IROC-Z in 0 to 60 times and Quarter mile speed. The GT sprinted to 60 MPH in just 6.7 seconds while the Camaro was ever so close at 6.8 seconds. Both cars reached the quarter mile in 15.3 seconds, but the GT's trap speed was 93.0 MPH; 3 MPH more than the Camaro's.
I think our little 4.0's that can run with a 5.7 liter Camaro (and quite possibly win) deserve a bit of respect. Sure the GT is a fire breathing monster right off the dealer's lot, but the current generation V6 has as much HP as many previous generation Mustang GTs. That ain't anything to sneeze at....

I absolutely LOVE this car! Plenty of performance (I'm with ya Scrming... why did I ever come into these forums and start reading about mods?! ha!), great handling... attention grabbing looks to maim for... IMHO, it's the best looking Mustang since the 64 1/2-69... and the only car I've ever been excited about since my candy apple red '68 coupe. It's an American classic already.

Satisfied? in a word... YES.. the car is fun as heck to drive. It gets up and goes whenever I ask it too. In fact I find myself wondering what the GT owners do with all the power they have on tap. I mean the V6 has all the power this car needs. The V8 has to be overkill to the 2 power. There is no way I can use all the power this V6 has, not with out Johnny Law writing me a ticket. How do the GT owners keep their foot out of the throttle? This V6 equipped car will blast to 90 mph in a tick. I'm actually glad I didn't get the GT, I know the temptation to open it up would be too much for me. As far as handleing goes, to me it seems to be on rails. The V6 05 Mustang has to be the best balanced car (HP/ Handleing) Ford has ever made. I was seriously looking forward to the Cobra being released, but I have come to realize that there is no place other than a race track where that kind of power is needed or could be safely utilized. The V6 05 Mustang is the car to have, for all around driving fun ,throttle response and economy of operation.

I love this car, a few things like T-lok & gears, and you would have one well balanced car.
The car suits me just fine- I am just that kind of person that has to modify everything I own in order to make it MINE. So this car is no different and once I save up enough, its all going into it. A GT would be pointless for me as I don't race and the highest speed limit in town is 55.
Okay, I guess I'm the only one who is merely satisfied with this car. My opinion from when I first got it until now is that this car is okay.
It drives like a sedan, not a sports car. I grew up on Porsches and just sold my S2000, so I know how a sports car handles. This car doesn't handle particularly well at all, its closer to a Taurus. There's nothing wrong with that, but I don't see anything particularly wonderful about it either. The car is okay. It looks nice. It is comfortable on long drives.
I'm not disappointed in my purchase. I don't dislike the car, but I'm not in love with it. I don't take extra precautions to park it and I don't worry about it being stolen. It is a normal car, so I'm satisfied.

I've owned a string of sports cars over the years too, and while the '05 Mustang isn't in the same class with a low slung mid or rear engine 2-seater in the twisties, if you can claim with a straight face that this car only handles as well as a Taurus, I can only believe you've driven some way more impressive cars than I have with a Taurus logo attached....

Kinda off topic, but I was browsing the latest issue of MMFF and the first letter in it was from some guy who finally got his GT and at the end he had to add how the V6 is a "complete turd". I have never wanted to contact someone so bad in my life to see how he came to that conclusion.
