The underside of the V6 has the brackets to hold the rear antisway bar and the brackets to hold it to the lower shock mount match up with the holes. I've got all the nuts and bolts - Ford parts for the GT installation - but not the bar.

Was wondering if anyone has put a rear anti-sway bar on their V6.

Also, Ford list two - one for the coupe and one for the 'vert.

Steeda folks tell me their's does fit a V6 but that it requires more stuff (parts) - and beyond that, I can't get a straight answer.

By thw way, Kevin (from Clevenger Ford, Porterville, CA) sells the bar less than my ford dealers here - $137 vs $170.

 

Considering the body and everything as far as I know on the between the two cars is the same, I dont see why it wouldnt. Ive seen it reported that it will.

 

I bought the Steeda rear swaybar for the GT and it bolts right up to the v6

 

Do you feel a big differance with it installed?

 

I think so , getting the front sway from steeda soon

 

It isn't a good idea to just bolt a rear swaybar from a mustang GT onto a V6 because the front swaybar on the GT is bigger than the front swayar on the V6. You have to match the swaybars to each other or else you can get some undesired and perhaps dangerous handling characteristics.

 

John has a really good point, and one we should probably pay attention to.. These swaybars were designed as aftermarket for a GT.. they're probably made alot stronger, able to take much much more power, that what should really be put on a basic v6. Im not saying not to do it, just becareful and make sure you know how it handles before trying something crazy

I don't have to worry about adding a rear bar to my V6. Its going to be an 06 with the pony package Will also be adding a set of Eibach springs to give it the proper stance!
