ProCharger/Vortech group buy

Got this email from Fast Specialties today:
OK. Have some final numbers for the group on the ATI Procharger. Since ATI Procharger does not give “quantity” discounts, the best we can do is $3650.00 and FREE freight, so that would be an all-inclusive price. This would include the 39 lb injectors and the SCT X-Calibrator II with a starter tune and the standard 2 core intercooler. Once installed, we would ask that you data log the vehicle, and via e-mail, send us the files. We will then build you a finalized tune for your specific vehicle. Most companies charge between $125.00 and $200.00 for this final tweak, but due to the large number of systems, we will only be charging $85.00. For those that already own an X-Cal II deduct $225.00 from the cost. For a 3 core intercooler ad $250.00.
Now, on the Vortech. That price in quantity will be $300.00 less than the ATI Procharger. It also comes with the injectors, intercooler and a “boost a pump”, and instead of an SCT X-Cal II it comes with the Diablo Sport. However I am negotiating with Vortech to do a delete on the Diablo and ad the X-Cal II.
Let us know your preference and we will get rolling. .
Thank you,

w/ an intercooler? Holy mackarel, that's a steal. and only 250$ to upgrade to 3core IC!

If you already have an SCT-2, they give you $225 off the price. So 3-core minus SCT-2, they pretty much cancel each other out.

So... my goal is to boost to 9psi since this is a daily driver and I'd like the engine to last years. Will upgrading to the 3 core prolong the life of the engine since it cools better?

Technically yes, by cooling the boost it should reduce the heat/stress on the pistons.

I might be in, still researching-
When you say "group buy" is this an all at once thing or is it for forum members? If it is an all at once thing, when would you plan on making the purchase?
