I got my email response from EE, this is what it said:

Hi David,

Doug tested our hi-po X-CHARGER last weekend. He got 279 RWHP and 286 ft lbs of torque. With 100 degree ambient temp. The really cool thing is that it makes 266 ft lbs at only 2200 RPM. Which equals tremendous low end and throttle response. The X-C 4.0 is mild mannered and under normal driving you wouldn't know it's there. Until you hit the loud pedal. The owner of our first prototype kit is getting 24 MPG on the freeway.

The hi-po kit has a more direct inlet system with an 84mm mass air sensor & conical filter, plus 2.8 supercharger pulley which makes 9-10 lb of boost. Our tune is conservative and safe.

We need to have a few parts for the hi-po kit manufactured, which we couldn't do until the tuning verified that our design is good. Those parts will be available in 30-45 days.

The CA spec Mustang X-CHARGER is $3499.95 without tune. The hi-po kit will be +$399.95 if ordered at the same time as the X-C / $499.95 if ordered separately. The tuning is available from BamaChips for $399 including the Xcal device or $150. if you already have an Xcalibrator.

For more information, give us a call, toll-free, at 888-EXPLORER (888-397-5673) Monday thru Thursday, 10AM to 4PM Pacific.

Thanks for your interest,

so $4,050 basically for the 9-10 lbs model. Gets you around 280rwhp and and 286 rwtq. That falls in line with all the centis w/ cooling, still a wee bit cheaper than PH turbo.

I received the same email. $3500 was the top end of what I was willing to pay for the basic kit + tuning. Oh well.
