Wow, that increase is very good.
So how many hard launches before our tranny blows lol. Man launching with over 400ft/lbs!! amazing

Is there any research on what it takes to get the GT's whole drivetrain minus the engine? If aftermarket solved this it'd be hitting a goldmine.
Can't wait to see your results

You can get a tremec tranny for about $1200, a better clutch for about $300, a driveshaft for about $300, an 8.8" rear end assembaly with axles and brakes for ummm i dunno about a grand i guess. So you could do it for about $2800 which is still cheeper then the GT even with the NOS

lol, any idea on how compatible new tranny and 4.0 would be. If it's more trouble than worth then I probably wouldn't consider it.

I still can't believe all that torque though.

That torque is totally f***ing sick. This would crush an average GT. Why did he stop the dyno pull at 5500 rpm? Still HP was 300 all over the place. I'm sorry if I missed it, but all of that power came from just a NEX system? I think a 4.0L engine can take 300 HP+. The tranny and rearend will blow with drag radials and gears. 400 pounds of torque and a T-5 with a 3.75 first gear is a ticking time bomb. Still this is awesome potential. Just thank what ported heads and a cam with this could do.

Well, that's one nice thing about getting a V6 WITH the automatic... it's the same one that's in the GT! So I know it will take some serious abuse... LOL!

Good point, the auto should be stronger than the T-5. I'd say the auto can take 400 hp, the T-5 maybe 300. I'm basing this on long-term reliability.

Just remember all the V6's have the 7.5 rear end... the real question is can the rear end take it?

I think it is Dan Haga, V6racing.net has a heavily modded 3.8L. Nitrous, head work, everything. I think he blow the rearend with 350 HP or so. The car also had drag tires and gears. I guessing its how you have your car set up. Normally the rearend is the first thing to go, but the really short gears in the 05 T-5 has me concerned. A 7.5 is reported to be 35% weaker than a 8.8.

Ok... Took my car back to the shop that did my 4.10/Track-Lock to have the oil changed (700 mile for break-in). I was talking the the guy who put it all together. Talked to him for quite a while and this guy knows his stuff! I asked about the durabitly of my 7.5. His bottom line was that the 7.5 should be good enough for me... He said what usually gets guys in trouble is when they swap out the v-6 for a big v8, have a manual tranny and then put on slicks. He said that's when you will see your spider gears "explode". He said I don't need to worry about that now since I went to the Track-Lock. So for the time being I'm thinking the 7.5 is going to hold up....
