New Guy

Well just wanted to introduce myself to this forum... since this is where I will be spending most of my time I have had my pony since March of 2005 and have somehow kept her stock. As fun as it has been to drive around stock () it's time I start pursuing my dreams and begin modifying my pony. I'm kind of on the fence on where to start, but it's leaning more and more towards suspension. I look forward to learning/sharing knowledge with fellow members.

Suspension is a great place to start. Your car will feel completely different. What were you planning on doing first?

Welcome to the site by the way!

Funny, I was actually about to ask help on that lol. Well, I basically want a suspension that is daily-drive friendly with that occasional trip to the dragstrip. Went for the first time last night and....I'm hooked I want to build my suspension around an 8.8 rearend. At this point I'm not sure what is and isn't necessary for my type of application i.e. subrame connectors? Also looking to shed some weight for a better horsepower to weight ratio. Any suggestions? Help? Thank you in advance for all the help. I am really enjoying the time I spend here

I think a good place to start with suspension mods is some lowering springs and some new shocks/struts (you'll need an adjustable panhard bar along with the springs). After that, most likely some LCAs with LCA relocation brackets. An adjustable UCA could be thrown in as well. That would give you a pretty good handling pony.

Try the Mustang Collective forums for a lot of ideas for V6s.
