So I finally make a decision and replace the stock muffler (I know... most of you guys dumped the factory muffler a long time ago) I chose the Ford Racing axleback. It went on in a snap, I pulled all the brackets off the frame rail. Had it changed out in about 20 minutes. Love the sound...anyway, we all know it flows much better than the stock piece. So I head for the interstate for a blast up to the next exit. I always nail the throttle at the bottom of the ramp and easily hit 90 before I blend with traffic(the ramp is all up hill). So today I follow the same routine...what happend next caught me by surprise. The car after an intial momentary hard pull, suddenly lost power, I caught a flash on the speedo, couldn't make out what it was but I got a light of some sort, the engine came right back in hard and it did the same thing again. At this point I backed off the throttle and accelerated nromally. I didn't nail the throttle again, I exited the interstate at the next exit, pulled over and shut off the engine, it was then that I pulled my head out of my ....... and fiqured out what had happen. I'm sure all you guys already know what happened...yep that light was the little fish tailing car light, TCS had taken over. I have never had that happen before, seems the Ford racing axleback adds a little more go.... Of course I know Dougs tune had a lot ot do with it, but I have been running Dougs tune for months, never had a TCS light. Keep in mind I don't routinely try to break traction or do burnouts, so I quess my reaction would be normal for a rookie. Long story short I'm real happy with the FR axleback .

And that is why the first thing I do after I start my car is hit the TCS button! LOL!

Very nice! Amazing the kind of gains we get just from a muffler swap!

Very cool indeed.

Also, why I didn't get my car with TCS.
