I want to put GT bumpers on and run a dual exhaust. I just dont care for any of the aftermarket offerings that are available yet. Im thinking of buying this GT x-pipe, a leftside exhaust pipe, and GT mufflers.

I think I can make it fit and look like it belongs there. I will have to cut the y-pipe, but thats ok with me.

Ive seen some of the cobbled together systems guys are running. No mandrel pipe bends, lots of cutting and welding, I dont see how it is improving anything except the sound.

What do you think?





I need to crawl under mine and see if the y-pipe shares the same hanger location as the GT coming off the tranny crossmember. I would keep my cats, so the other 2 pipes would be unused.

 

I don't see why it wouldnt work. You would need hangers for the left side muffler.

I have 2 GT mufflers for sale if you decide to go for it.
