I do Sammy Hagar on the interstate, 'I can't drive 55' is just too cool. Golden Earring (Radar Love and Twilight Zone are great) and anything by Steppenwolf.

Pantera all the way. Soilwork, In Flames, and Children of Bodom also. A lot of people expect me to be listening to rap or something when they pull up but they get a big suprise when they hear me jamming swedish death metal or freakin Pantera. Also though, on my lighter side, I have been jamming a lot of 80's such as Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue, RATT, Skid Row, Iron Maiden, and heck even some of the pop from the 80's. I think it's also cool to listen to like the soundtrack from John Carpenter's "Christine" or some other creepy John Carpenter music. Even some oldies songs would fit this car considdering it is a retro car.

Goldfinger has come a long way from their ska roots, but its not all for the worse. Some of their new stuff is actually pretty good.

I mostly lean towards classic rock personally. Theres a good bit of Zeppelin, Rush, The Doors, Floyd, AC/DC, The Who, The Clash, Hendrix, Bob Dylan, and Guns N' Roses. I throw in a lot of more modern rock too: Breaking Benjamin, Radiohead, Cake, STP, Velvet Revolver, Audioslave, Soundgarden, RHCP, Foo Fighters.. I have ALOT of music hehe.. I think you guys get the idea.

Rock = YES!
wow, now I'm feeling OLD. Guns N' Roses is classic rock?

Guns N' Roses is awesome whatever it is considdered. Possibley one of the best metal or hard rock bands from the 80's. Axel Rose has one of the most unique vocals (i'm guessing it's cause he speaks with a lisp). Either way my Mustang jams a lot of G N' R.

Nope, I live in Savannah, Georgia - but that's awesome. Hope those guys know people still love 'em and their cars won't run without their music!

Heres that plate... I gave the guy my CD to copy the symbol from, but he was too RETARDED to realize it was a sun... so, he just had this white BLOB in the middle. I came back to see it and he was putting the clear coat on it... I told him it needed a circle in the middle, and as you can see, he screwed that up too.

UGH.

So far my favorite to crank up is Filter - Hey Man Nice Shot. That song automatically adds about 100 lbs to your right foot If you haven't tried this one out while cruising you've got to check it out.

Other than that, a lot of AC/DC, Zeppelin, Rush (Red Barchetta rocks as a song about driving), Korn, Metallica, Black Sabbath, etc. On those rare occasions when I just feel like de-stressing to something more mellow I'll pop in some classical.

AMEN! SRV is always perfect. My fav.

Another great song is a live cut from the Wintertime Blues Festival. I'm not sure if it's an Edwin Mccain song or not... but he sings it in this cut. I think it is. Anyrate... Don't Change Horses in the Middle of the Stream

Giddeup, Giddeup, Hi-ho silver!

EDIT: Oh, and 9th Pony, you hit another of my Favorites. Red Barchetta is by far one of the coolest songs Rush has ever done. I went to see them in concert and was praying that they would play this song. They didn't. I went back the next year to see them again. This time... it was the reunion tour. I had a better chance than previously, and to my surprise, they played it! It ROCKED! I can now die happilly having heard it. One of my altime favs.

Saliva - Click Click BOOM is another great one, although frequently over played, so most folks may have burned out on it.

I was starting to worry til I saw ex-Galixie 500's post. That's all great music you're all listening to. But I knew I couldn't be the only one driving this baby and listening to Creedence Clearwater Rivival. One of the things I couldn't wait to do while waiting for the car. Plus I listen to pretty much else of what's been mentioned.

Being a soundtrack buff, I cranked the Batman Begins OST and Cowboy Bebop OST vol. 1 CDs on the stereo the day I got my Mustang. Right now, I'm experimenting with different types of music, including the following:

Rob Zombie - "Two Lane Blacktop"
Queens of the Stone Age - "In My Head"
Spiderbait - "Black Betty"
Drowning Pool - "Bodies"
Lenny Kravitz - "Are You Gonna Go My Way?"
Van Halen - "Panama"
Manic Street Preachers - "Everything Must Go (Chemical Brothers Remix)"
Motley Crue - "Kickstart My Heart"
Def Leppard - "Rock Rock (Till You Drop)"
Poison - "Ride the Wind"
Queen - "Headlong"
Judas Priest - "Breaking the Law"
Garbage - "As Heaven is Wide"
Guns 'N' Roses - "You Could Be Mine"
Helmet - "Crashing Foreign Cars"

I just did a 3000 mi roundtrip from Boston to Kansas City. The bands that went along for the ride were:

the Clash
Dropkick Murphys
The Smiths
The Cure
the Pretenders
B-52's
Meatloaf
and just for weirdness sake, the German language soundtrack to Jim Steinman's stage musical Tanz Der Vampire (which sounded great, and was PERFECT for a foggy drive at night through the tree lined Poconos)

oh...and XM radio....man does not live by CDs alone
