Goldfinger has come a long way from their ska roots, but its not all for the worse. Some of their new stuff is actually pretty good.

I mostly lean towards classic rock personally. Theres a good bit of Zeppelin, Rush, The Doors, Floyd, AC/DC, The Who, The Clash, Hendrix, Bob Dylan, and Guns N' Roses. I throw in a lot of more modern rock too: Breaking Benjamin, Radiohead, Cake, STP, Velvet Revolver, Audioslave, Soundgarden, RHCP, Foo Fighters.. I have ALOT of music hehe.. I think you guys get the idea.

Rock = YES!

If I had one, I'd say: ZZ Top, Hendrix, Led Zep, Nirvana, some Metallica (Sandman is my favorite), Thorogood, etc...

I don't know if i've become immune, but it doesnt seem that loud like when I first got it, at full blast. I rarely go up that level anyway.
I really don't need it any louder at all(really I dont), but you would just think that they would set the limit to an insane level of loudness no one can stand.

It's not called Oi anymore? Man I guess I'm just retro then.

I'll check those other bands out. Goldfinger seems to have gotten away from the ska roots more towards straight punk/rock. I haven't heard their new one though, so I'm a bit behind the times (again).
yeah for some reason a few years ago, people started to refer to it as "street punk" I think it was to dis-associate OI! from idiotic bands such as Screwdriver etc...
another real good American OI! band is "Patriot"

I have a homemade CD of 16 diffrent versions of Mustang Sally. I went on the internet and bought 16 versions by 16 diffrent artists. I play it at every car show I attend. My favorite version is by the Commitments.

I had planned on burning a CD specifically for the first run of the Mustang and I never got the opportunity to do it. The date came up on me too quickly. So right now I have a hodge podge of CD's in my car ranging from hip-hop to rock/classic rock to jazz/blues. I got a good mix.

Jazz/Blues (especially blues) sound paticularly awesome in this car.

I have to admit I'm an AM homer and I'm excited to have all my talk stations back. My Civic's antenna was chopped off a long time ago and it killed my reception. FM came in good but I lost all AM.

just one example of a remake surpassing the original. ;-)

U2 is in all 6 slots of my Shaker. I love them and cant wait to go to their concert in November. Never seen them so I will be freaking out.

I cant believe some of you guys listen to The Smiths. I have never met anyone here in the US that had ever heard of them. I grew up overseas in Athens, Greece and believe me The Smiths were HUGE over their. They were huge generally all over Europe.

Mesmerize totally rocks.
Stevie Ray Vaughn rocks my socks off.
U2 hasnt changed their sound in 20 years and was starting to get repetitive about 10 years ago >.< I really wish they would come up with something NEW.

And The Smiths rock.

Hey Zodiac. no offense but I dont think you know your U2 very well. They have changed their sound and thats why you always hear "that their new new music is nothing like their old music".

I am mainly a fan of their older music but I still like a few new songs too.

I guess I am just big fan. The biggest thing I like is their words which is surrounded by politics, religion, etc. How could you not love Sunday Bloody Sunday, I still havnt found what I am looking for, Pride, etc.

Dont get me started now.... lol

Only the greatest music for the greatest car- I rigged up my iPod to my car so that's about 1700 songs so far, but to name a few artists....

AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Cream, CCR, Guns N' Roses, Tom Petty, and of course the legendary Jimi Hendrix

I'll throw a cog in the works! My music is fairly diverse.

Destiny's Child - Destiny Fulfilled (sounds great on the shaker)
Sugarland (Country)
Lot's of 80's, especially ZZTop
Rob Thomas - Sounds great solo
Anything Kenny Chesney!

Like I said...eclectic!

In real life, I listen to a lot of punk, but in the 'Stang, everything changes.

Lots of good stuff in this thread. I want to add:
'Roller,' April Wine, and
'Rock n' Roll Outlaw,' Rose Tattoo - a band a lot of folks consider to be an oi band, though I don't.
