Muffler Drone?
I have just had dual pipes installed on my 2006, I used the Flowmaster 40 series. They sound good but the drone is really bad around 1500 rpm. Any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure your going to have to try different mufflers..
We use a Flowmaster 40 on our Explorer and yes, that muffler does drone. Thats even a different 4.0 and single exhaust.
On our 06, we are running GT take offs with pypes x pipe, and there is no drone.

I have the FRPP/Stingers on mine, the drone would rattle my teeth at first, mostly around the 1800 rpm mark. As you drive the car more the drone will fade, just depends on how long you can stand it or adjust your driving to keep out of that "drone zone". Now at 24k miles almost no drone. most of it was gone after a few months but I only drive a few miles each day so if you drive more miles it should fade faster.
