These look great! Was the bumper modified on the left side? If so, what's the best way to make the cutout on the bumper?

What sort of gain is the single getting?

The bumper was not modified- we saw about 10rwhp gains with both the dual and the single-

The system actually hangs below the bumper on both sides, but could be modified to hang higher if you were to cut out the other side of the bumper-

Thanks-
Brent

Can the dual tips also be adjusted to work and look good with a added GT bumper cover ??

Thanks,
Doug

One other question ...

Where are the mufflers on the "dual" setup ??

Not having the big oval cans out back make this the sweetest system I have seen yet for a 2005 !!

Thanks,
Doug

Alright, I think I have just answered my own question !! You already have the installation sheet available on the web site and it clearly shows long round mufflers in the tailpipes after the axle but before the 2 bends to the tips. I could kind of see this in the pics above, but was not sure. Here is the link to the installation pdf ...

The mufflers look like glasspacks Do you think they would have a deep tone or would it sound rice

I have their dual kit # 15717 on my 2004 V6 and it has 2) 4" dia. x 14" long mufflers that look very similar to those shown in the 2005 system. Link to the pdf if you want to compare ...

http://images.magnaflow.com/07techtips/pdfs/15717.pdf

This system sounds very nice ... very deep sound, don't think it sounds ricy at all.

Also, here is a link to how their mufflers are constructed ...

Hey Brent, we need your input ... how does the 99-04 system compare to the 2005 ??

Thanks,
Doug

Wow.... those do look nice. I am thinking, go with the single, it is cheaper and get the same HP gains, the sound is nice and it looks good. Does anyone know exactly when it will be available??

It is much louder that the stock '99-04 V6 system (which is quieter than a stock 2005 V6) ... I almost felt that it was too loud at first. It has grown on me, and I have gotten many compements from fellow gearheads. Some have even been surprised to see a six under the hood after hearing it first. Personally, I have not heard it from the street ... I'm either driving it or riding shotgun when freinds have driven it. The few times my wife has driven away from the house in it don't count ... unless you want to hear me to say it sounds pretty good as she revs it out to 1500 RPM & granny shifts !!

It is pretty loud when you get on it, but almost silent when cruising on the highway. I had heard others with louder aftermarket systems complaining of an irritating drone at crusing speeds, but this is not the case at all with this Magnaflow system.

Magnaflow is a good quality system for the money. They use 409 S.S. for the pipes and 304 S.S. for the tips. If you want the best, then you want Borla ... they use 304 S.S. thoughout (I think Bassani does as well). Their systems are always quite a bit more expencive though. I have been told that Borla systems make a unique sound ... many don't care for it. I've heard some say they felt V6 Mustangs with Borla systems sound almost ricey.

Can you post a sound clip??? I would love to hear it!! I bet it would sound even better on the 05 V6 with the 4.0-liter engine!! Did you notice an increase in your power (HP)???

Here are the sound clips from the Magneflow web site, the 2005 V6 one listed is the axle-back (single muffler) kit # 15889.

I unfortunately am more of a gearhead than a computer geek, so I have no idea how to do it.

The dual kits are available now, and the single should be available shortly-

The sound is very deep on the single system-

The dual system sounds similar to the system on the 99-04 V6 Mustangs....

Thanks-
