I just bought the JBA axleback for my car. It was $179 W/ free shipping (I think).
I like it a lot. It has a nice rumble at idle. Before it was hard to tell if the car was running at idle, but now it has a noticble rumble. It does not sound like a V-8, but I don't think anything will sound like a V-8 except a V-8. It sounds a little high pitched at high revs, but I like it. (I think all mufflers are going to sound high pitched at high revs on our V-6's). It does not sound like a Ricer bumblebee. I think it has a nice growl when driving around town.
It also looks nice. Has JBA engraved on the top edge of the tip. It's not too big. I like it enough that I'm going to order the JBA headers, even though they cost more than the MAC headers. I think I found them for $439 w/free shipping. I also ordered the JBA 9mm wires for about $50 when I got the exhaust.
After that the only performance mod I'll think about is a set of 4.10's.

hey fyi, my GT take-off mufflers never come close to sounding "high-pitched" or ricey on my V6. I ran with a single GT take-off first and now running with duals and both ways it never got high-pitched at all.
however, they are not very loud and you won't hear much rumbling at startup and idle. they do sound semi-deep and pretty sweet at cruising speeds and have a very nice growl when accelerating.
I'll be posting a detailed description of my exhaust mod and wheel mod this week.

I stand corrected. In my defense though I haven't heard a GT take-off on a V-6 yet. I would love to hear one.
Also I know I have heard a MAC V-6 sound clip & I thought it was on the MAC website. I just checked their site & I cannot find any links to any sound clips. If I find a sound clip on another site I'll post a link here.

I just called & ordered a set.
performancecenter.com
1-800-883-6437
They were on sale for $ 424.99 (with shippping they were $447.98).
The free shipping offer just ended but with the sale price it still works out to the same price.
I'll post my review of them soon.

Here's a single GT take-off on my V6. The only other mod so far is a K&N drop-in.
