I need help/tips on how to launch my automatic v6.

This is what my friend have given me so far...

Hold the break, gas up to 2000 rpm. then let go??

I need your opinion guys

 

Hold brake, push gas pedal thru the grill let off brake and hold on!!!!!!!!!!

 

Any manual trans tips? (without major drivetrain damage)

 

The best 60 foot times i got at the track were revving it to about 2700 rpm and releasing the clutch most of the way hard, then slipping it. On the streets (around here) all i have to do is drop it at 3600 and go.

 

heck i can't hold more than a 1250 launch without roasting my tires from a take off. heck ran a 2.2 60ft with SCT 93 mode/CAI/50 series flow muffler. Got it in 87 mode still can't do a 1250 launch without too much tire spin.
