Sorry, no free mods that I can think of right now. No H/C trap to remove or anything like that. All I can say is break it in right, run it hard and at varied speeds for a while. After that, reset the battery by disconnecting it for 15 minutes and let the computer relearn your driving style. I think with an auto this has shown the best results for shift points, engine revs, etc.

what do you recommend as "run it hard" and when to diconnect the battery?
Personally I'd run it at varying speeds (ie., driving it hard, letting off the gas, driving it hard, letting off the gas, etc.) for the first 500 miles or so. I've heard varying stories as to whether or not this is really needed with modern engines but I tend to be more old school anyway.
Beyond that the sky is the limit in terms of what you can do to the car. If you're looking for sound, upgrade the exhaust or maybe just the stereo. If you're looking for power engine mods may be on your horizon. If you want style, stripes, dress-up's, or gadgets may just be your ticket.
Use your imagination... your Mustang can be almost whatever you want it to be.

Yeah... Im really use to old school motors and cars, and not these new-fangled things.. but its always been my way to run the engine hard. Rev it high, heavy on the gas, gun it off stop lights. The important part is to vary speeds so that nothing wears too fast in one direction, or is pushed TOO hard, or NOT hard enough one way or the other.
I think the word is the computer learns your driving style over 200 miles. Id probably break the engine in for atleast 1K before a good reset and expect to see any kind of SOTP gains. I think I considered my break in period over at around 1500.

Good to run it hard the first few miles especially to seal the tight rings on the more polished bores on modern car's. This will provide pressure to the rings toward the cylinder walls, then giving you a better seal.
Congrats on your new car!! There are a couple of free mods. One I can think of right off is the shortening of the antenna.
Lots of people have installed the blackout panel themselves.

Homelink mirror is awesome! Installation was a breeze and it works great. Only thing I don't like about the Gentex mirror is that green tint when the auto-dimming feature activates. It takes a bit of getting used to...
this weekend....my mach wheels i had on my 02
then probably louvers
then somekind of grille foglights...amy told me the 06 pony package lights....and yes i like thos...however i dont like the horizontal trim all that much
