Who has used these new wires. Do you notice any difference?

They said like 5hp from a test car, but for all we know that could be with an aftermarket ignition, and plugs, and wires for 5hp. who knows

I bought a set when I ordered my JBA headers.
Since I installed both at the same time I don't know if they made any difference.
But the blue wires look nice on my blue car, so I like them.

I think the test car was a 500 HP Cobra, so 5 HP on a car like that ain't much. I'm guessing 0 to 1 HP for a V6. I could see the stock ignition have some trouble with a blower, but after that I can't see any gains.

Aftermarket wires will not make a difference in performance on a stock motor on any car. Really even if the motor is heavily modded the stock wires are fine. It's only when you get 50k+ miles on stock wires and replace them with aftermarket that you see a difference in the numbers. If you buy them, buy them because you like the color, not because you want a performance gain

Got mine installed. Also put on the polished Steeda radiator cover and MAC fuse box cover. I painted the ponies under the hood too

Nice Janet. Almost broke my neck trying to look at that second picture

Were they an easy install, seems like a tight fit in there.

Sorry for the neck breaking problem, I guess I should have rotated the picture. I'll probably take a few more shots since those are kinda blurry anyway. I'll do better with the next batch!

They weren't to hard for the hubby to install, the old ones were on there tight though! I like 'em.

That looks awesome! Get a Midwest plenum cover on there and a polished CAI and they'll be throwing trophies at you

LoL, I do plan to get the cover and CAI but I don't think I'll be showing anytime soon. My car is far from show worthy example. But I still like him B)

Here are some better pictures

Ya'll don't sell yourselves short, winning trophies has a lot more to do with knowing how to clean than what you bolt on. I can see from your avatars that both of you have already done some mod's, if you do a full cleaning and detailing you could likely pull in some class wins in local shows. If you don't want to crawl around detailing the undercarriage there's usually a "daily driver" class too. Car shows are a lot of fun, if you go just to have a good time and you don't care about the trophy, then usually that's when you win one

I've been trying to hit 2 cars shows every weekend.... Here's what I've learned...

If it's participants that vote for their favorite cars... no chance... I was talking to a guy last weekend. He told me what a lot of other participants are feeling... he said "I NEVER vote for new cars. Anyone can go out and buy a NEW car and keep it clean" I mean everyone stops and admires my car... tell me how great it is... they just don't vote for it! LOL!

If it's really judged by people who know cars I have a chance.... I just have to make sure I enter in the right class! I've only been to 2 shows where the cars were honestly judged... The first one I made the mistake of going in the "Muscle Car" class... oops! The 2nd show I entered the "2000+ Mild". Ended up with a 3rd place trophy! WOOHOO!!

Other things I've learned....

1) Make up some kind of poster or sign talking about your car. I just made one today for this weekend. (see attached)

2) Stuff around the car counts too! Like flags, mirrors, etcs... They judge the "presentation" of your car too!

3) Obviously open your hood! At the last couple of shows I've seen guys who didn't even bother to open their hood! One guy was embarrassed about how bad his 96 was under the hood... We pestered him to open his hood despite his objections... Turned out that was enough for him to win a tie breaker! He went home with a 2nd place trophy as opposed to a 3rd!

4) Open your trunk. Even it it's stock in there! A nice clean trunk will get you an extra point or two.. and every point counts.

The most important thing is HAVE A GOOD TIME! I know I'll never win best of show or anything like that... But my Stang is such an attention grabber people just naturally gravitate to it! I've met an incredible range of people! I"m having a blast!

So don't be afraid to take your car and show it! Try it! You might get hooked like me! Heck, I even put my little 'ol V6 on the Dyno while the Big Boys with their 600+ HP cars where watch! Talk about intimidating! LOL!

Hmm I thought making one of those for a new car would make me look stupid at a show, but after seeing yours i know what I'm going to start working on this weekend
