doc... any chance of posting a sound clip of your Magnaflow?

The only sound clips I've heard, other than those on Magnaflow's site, was fairly low res (no offense to the poster.. it was greatly appreciated!). I'm trying to see if it's worth replacing the GT takeoff with the Magnaflow.

I tried to post a sound clip, however, I cannot get any up that are any better than what is already posted. I am sorry, I can say that none of the clips do it justice. Also, curious how those out there with the headers like them????

At this very moment, I'm waiting for my wife to take a shower so we can go pick up the car. The shop said the JBA's went on perfect! Excellent fit and finish. Sound clips soon...

As promised...
This is my 2005 V6 with a K&N drop-in air filter, single GT take-off axle-back muffler and JBA shorty headers. It was just getting into rush hour on the way home, but the car has added some noticeable torque. Plus... it just sounds freakin' awesome! Yearns to rev. At a stop, I felt a very pleasant surge of power beneath me. No highway driving yet, but it was a blast going from light to light. I'm diggin' it!

About $622 + shipping of the titanium, coated headers plus $284.96 for the 4 hour install.

Zodiac... I thought the sound improvement was simply amazing. It was also very unexpected, really just getting them for the hp/torque increase. The headers can only make your flows sound... well... you'll need a bib for the rest of that drool

In arizona it would be as long as it dont set off the MIL. 96 and newer vehicles all they do is check to see if your engine light is on, if not, you pass.

From JBA's website...

Note: These are the only headers available for the 2005 Mustang V6 that are 50 state smog legal. Another JBA first. CARB E.O.# D-216-28.

nope...no check engine light... I think that's more likely if you go with a higher flowing intake. If it does, I think I'd just unhook the negative terminal of the battery for a bit.

Island... I didn't notice much of a mileage change... maybe 1mpg, if you're lucky (and can keep your foot off the gas!)

I think any mod that removes a bit of airflow restriction (intake or exhaust) is going to help the engine run more efficiently and thus increase mpg. Let's just say this... I didn't get headers for the mileage increase. (oh... but, that is the excuse I gave my wife for the cai on the way... shhh...don't tell!)

LOL, me too, I told my wife the CAI and Exhaust was for MPG and the TLOK was for added saftey in the snow.

With my mods, I got like an extra 3MPG.....well that was until my 4.10's went in. I think I'm back down to stock MPG now. The real key on MPG is to drive like there is an egg under the pedal.....good luck with that one.

We must have some very understanding wives... they know we just want to go faster, but accept the little fib....er... reason we give them for spending more cash on the ride.

And... I'll take my eggs sunny side up!
