My JBA's are going in tomorrow.....hopefully that is.....I probably won't have any dyno results but I'll see if I can let you know how they sound.

They are still working on them......they had a power outage (my luck of course) so they are working late to do their best to get it back to me tonight. My estimate was a little lower, around 900. I'll keep you posted.

OK......the JBA headers are in, and since it was raining here, I really couldn't get on it like I wanted to.......BUT......There is definetely an improvement in the performance, but if your looking for an overnight major transition......forget it. I did hit it pretty hard at one point, and the response seemed to be better than before. Crusin at 60 was quiet, but still you could hear you had a fairly powerful engine under the hood at the same time. The sound to me has improved a little, but again, no major change that I noticed. I'll need a little more time to see if there are any other noticeable differences, and also to see if the 950 I spent for this is worth it all. I don't know if this is going to help any of you but I gave it a shot. Just tryin' to do my part for the cause!!!
I know.....I know......THIS POST IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT A SOUND CLIP!!!!!
I'll see what I can do about that in the next couple of days!!!

Be sure and let us know how they sound after you get a chance to break them in and get on it a bit. Im curious about how they affect sound and performance once they're broken in.

I will keep you all posted after they get a chance to break in. The price I got on the headers was 595. 00. The labor was 314.32. He did it in 3.7 hours. Plus tax and all the other BS, the total was 989.00. This may be a little more than what you guys may have seen them for, but to be honest, I just let him do all the work, including ordering them. So, he may have made a little on the parts themselves, but since I am in no way an expert on this kinda thing, I did what I thought was best.

You may be right on that. I did no retune at all. I have heard about "resetting" the computer after a change, and I have not done that as of yet. I'm taking a ride to NJ tonight so I may have a better idea tomorrow.

Axslynger... any other exhaust mods done to your car besides the JBA's?
I have the same headers on order... looking forward to see how they'll pair up with the single GT take-off muffler already on.
Oh... and thanks for your thoughts on the install!

No other mods as of yet. I'm trying to do this in 2 stages. First was the headers, next will be the rest of the exhaust. I'm probably going to go with a dual setup, but I'm not sure which yet......not that there are a lot to choose from. My mechanic who did the install, and has done a lot of exhaust work on previous years Mustangs, is telling me to wait a while. I really think he's waiting for Borla to come out with a kit.
No problem about sharing the info on the install. Thats what this place is all about!!!

A little off topic, but I got the shorty's on my GT and their exhaust...I picked up 8hp with the shorties, and nothing from the exhaust. I didn't expect much from the exhaust because it is chambered. The Shorties did require a tune(HP above is not with tune), because it leaned out the car. I then later added the magnaflow xpipe (not sure if they make it for a v6 yet), but that gave even greater rumble and better throttle response. If I could do it all over I would go Long Tube, but I was a test car so I'm not complaining.....

Tried to order some.... but they are on back order. So, I decided to go ahead with 4.10 gears and T-Loc for now.

UPS just delivered my headers.
Probably install them Monday.
I'll post results as soon as they are on.
I'm also going to try to install them myself, so I'll let you know how that goes, etc.

My 4.10 gears are from Ford Racing (199.00), $340.00 for install next weds or thurs. Oh, added my Magnaflow Axleback today.... It makes a really big difference in sound and even in performance.
