Did you order that from your dealer or what?

Yes, parts ordered and received within 3 days. PKILEY sent along actual FORD nut/bolt P/N's if you do not want to use generic grade 8 bolts. They are as follows:

Stablizer Link Bolts (2) W708737-S439
Nuts (2) W711029-S900

Bracket Mounting Bolts (4) W711368-S439
Nuts (4) W520213-S440

My Ford Parts supplier is Mark @ Sentry L/M, 617-825-8900. He had no problem ordering these items , and same for the GT left exhaust pipe and all my other mods! Hope this helps!

Went to the Auto Hobby Shop today and put the car on the lift, had a little trouble with one of the bolts- it was semi-stripped. The bolts were made of a real soft metal. But its on and torqued down and I can definitely feel a difference taking curves. Reccommend to anybody looking for a smoother ride.

Sorry to hear about the extra work, but at least you got it installed. Thanks for the update, and it's good to know that I'm not the only one that recognizes the enhanced ride.

STRONGLY recommend that you install with grade 8 hardened bolts ONLY! Soft metal bolts (usually gr 2) can and have snapped when I've used them in any suspension to frame mod/install. For the extra pennies...safety is a must. BTW Ford's suspension to frame bolts are galvied grade 8.

I'll STRONGLY second this. Don't put your backside on the line by trying to save a few cents on the hardware. Get the Ford parts, or the direct equivalent strength-wise.

Ditto that...don't try to cheap out on suspension components. :nono:

Last thing you want is your safety compromised using low-grade parts to save a couple bucks! That's why I used the Ford parts...at least I can hold them liable if there's an issue!

I too switched out the front sway bar today and definitely feel a difference! I ran into a couple small problems, but overall, was pretty easy to do and well worth it! Now I will be looking into getting the rear done soon!

I used the bolts that were on the car. Maybe it was just me but they seemed very light and soft.

Also thanks to everyone in this thread for the information and help that made my install possible!

Question: can the front bar V6 brackets be used to mount GT front bar? I picked mine on e-bay, but it came without brackets.
I understand I can just reuse the nuts.
Thanks!

If you got the bushings with it, the V6 brackets will work fine. Good luck!

I have ordered all parts for the rear end and got the front end bar from Saleen.

The front bar has the rubber bushing on it, but for the instalation do I use my existing V6 bracket ? or do I have to buy different bracket of the GT.

Thanks for your inputs....

I used my existing V6 brackets and they worked well. Remember to torque the bolts and nuts to the right specifications. Also make sure to use genuine Ford's nuts and bolts. You will notice a big handling difference. If you don't have it yet, then also get the strut tower brace. They are plenty and cheap these days.

How many ft/lbs do you need to torque the bolts to?
