The link posted sounds pretty good for the most part.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe H pipe is supposed to be slightly deeper than X. While X will give you a tiny bit more power. When it really comes down to it, I don't know that you'll even notice a difference. It'll either sound good with either pipe, or it'll sound bad with either pipe.

Y pipe is completely different. With an X or H pipe: From the headers back, each side has it's own pipe. With a Y pipe: The pipes from each header join together, travel to the rear, then split back into 2 pipes so that you have dual exhaust tips. Using a Y pipe is a cheap way to get a dual exhaust, but far from the best way...

What he said ^
I have an X pipe and love my exhaust, I've heard 2 exhausts on our mustangs including the one I just posted that I love & wished I'd have went with an H pipe from the beginning but I'm completely satisfied with mine.

the problem is you can get a x pipe anywhere and no one makes a h pipe except jba. when i got mine they had just the kit (all stainless too) which was great.not cheap though, it was $429 for that kit 5 yrs ago. now they only sell the h kit with the jba mufflers and its $750. ive heard they sound good, but i really dont know. i met one guy that had a jba muffler but only had the single and he really liked it. i really like my exhaust and i think the stainless is awesome.

Hi, I have the JBA mufflers with a JBA h pipe system on my 2006. I have had the system on since 2007. I was thinking about going with a pypes x system and using my JBA mufflers. I have a droning at about 45 mph and my thoughts are that the x pipe might cure that. Any thoughts on that....
