Ok, I looked around the last few pages about previous posts on this topic and found little info. I saw on Mr.Gasket .com that Hurst is now making a short throw shifter for the 4.0 V6. The part number is 391 0203. However, after much surfing around the internet to no avail, I still don't know where I can go to get one of these shifters. Does anybody here have one in their V6 or does anyone know who is selling them? Any help would be great as I want one these so bad!!!

I don't think they've been released yet.

I can't play worth a lick, so a guitar case would be a poor investment

I don't mind a little badging as long as it's not overpowering, especially something like the Hurst badge which has a retro look. I'm considering something like this photochop (the badge might be a bit oversize here):

[attachmentid=41411]

I think the guys with black 'stangs seem to be more likely to be against badging as it breaks up the "stealth" image. On a torch red car, that's obviously not quite applicable

Well, I'm about as musically untalented as it's possible to get, so getting a guitar case seems sort of silly

I don'd like overdone badging (for instance, I bought two '06 Pony package side emblems but never put them on because I felt they were too large). I don't think what I have in mind will be bad (the below is a photochop):

That was weird, I tried posting once here, it didn't work (browser timed out), so I redo the post fresh, and more than an hour later the original post shows up after the second one :scratch:

Well, it took a little while but I finally got an email back from the tech guys at Mr. Gasket.com. Here's what they said - "The shifters will be available ealry in the spring of 06. They will run about $200 to $300 depending on the dealer. We will not offer the shifter from our website. Thank you ".

So it looks like only a few months to hold off before we can have a Hurst equipped V6. Sounds good to me although I would like to see the price drop below $200 to compete with other shifters such as Steeda's. Hope this info. helps anyone considering purchasing a Hurst shifter. :drive:

Let's just hope it's lower than that. A street price of about $179.00 would be in the right ballpark imho.
