I had my first oil change at 3000 miles..i only put 5 quarts as what it says in the manual..when it was time for my next oil change at 6000, the oil was really hot..like unusually hot(i do change my own oil and i know that oil shouldn't burn your hand when you change it)...so that oil change, i put 5 quarts again, ran my stang around the blaock and looked at my dipstick to find the oil level low..i added another quart to be on the safe side...Maybe 5 quarts is low....

How many quarts do you guys put????manual recommened 5 or 6??

Ive done the same thing you did.. I put in 5 quarts then ran it and checked it.. it looked a wee bit low, so I added just a little more.. Probably less than half a quart. 7K miles and 2 oil changes.

With just doin the 5 qts on mine, even after 2000 miles (next oil change) there is less than 1/8th of a quart missing.
