Do the two pipes ever meet? Did Midas weld in an H or cross them for an X?
Sounds like a good deal, I'd love to do duals later down the road. Have you noticed any loss or gains in power, and did you get a tune?

 

The new left pipe ties into the existing left side head pipe just past the cat. So the existing tie-in from the left pipe to right is still there, it acts as kind of a y-shaped crossover. I can't say I'm too happy with that, it's likely not the most efficient setup.

I can't tell a difference in performance. After I added the right side GT muffler and the K&N filter it did feel like it had more pep, but the dual GTs don't seem to have added (or lost) anything over the single GT. I mainly did it for the looks though, I never did like the single exhaust sticking out the back!

I have not gotten a tune. I probably will some day after they get the tunes dialed in better for the V6.

You mention that there are holes in the frame rail for the brackets. Did I read right that they are not threaded?

 

Yes that is right, they are not threaded. But having said that once you screw in a bolt they become threaded. Just make sure you are aimed straight in and you we not have a problem.

 

What Shave said If you buy the extra hardware at Home Depot, use one of the factory bolts to chase the threads first. It's easier to get them lined up because the first 1/4" or so of the factory bolt is an unthreaded lug.
