So has anybody actually switched out their gears yet? Did you run into the problems some GT owners have? Information and numbers are nice but some experience would be great to hear about...
bump.

I would use the 3.73:1 for either the automatic or the manual in Street Applications.
If you want the best quarter mile speeds, perhaps we should look at speed at peak horsepower in 4th gear:
Speed = (5,300 rev/min)(60 min/hr)(1/1.00 4th gear)(1/3.73 axle ratio)(0.0013387 mile/rev) = 114 MPH (you won't get a trap speed this high with a normal V6)
Speed = (5,300 rev/min)(60 min/hr)(1/1.00 4th gear)(1/4.10 axle ratio)(0.0013387 mile/rev) = 104 MPH (much more realistic trap speed for a V6)

So to summarize:
Auto Street: 3.73:1
Auto Strip: 4.10:1

Manual Street: 3.73:1
Manual Strip: 4.10:1

Anyways... would have gone with 3.73s but I'm running non-stock size tire in the back... 28.5 OD! SO... 4.10s... I'll report back next week!

I have an auto with a few mods & I'm wanting to do a swap. Torn between 3.73 and 4.10. I may supercharge later & I wonder if that should affect my choice of ratios. I wonder how top speed will be affected, although I care more about acceleration than top speed. Seems like my car tops out at 120MPH now.
if you are running a automatic i would go with the 4.10 hands down. shouldnt be that much loss in top end compared to the 3.73. i swapped out to 3.73 in my 93 w/ a 5 speed and i could still just about peg it out to 140

I have not heard of that combination for the 7.5" rear end. Also, it isn't much of a change from the 3.31:1.

It should be 3.45, not 3.55 for the 7.5.
