Anybody installed one themselves?
Also, I found this line to be very interesting ...
"- Ford Racing parts carry no warranty"
Is that the norm for exhaust parts?

I would also like to know the answer to this question. I've been considering getting one of these, but would only do so if it was something I could put on myself. Don't want to have to pay somebody to do it.

The stock muffler sits on hangers and isn't welded or anything. You just loosen some clamps, take it off, slap the new on
Sorry, no detailed write up- there's really not much to it- all you need is in the 1 page instructions that come with it and a rachet with some metric fittings

Is this what you are talking about? If not how is this one?

However, the Ford Racing is made by Borla for Ford
They look almost identical and I went with the Ford Racing one and couldn't be happier- I'm not sure what makes the prices different on the two or if they sound different

Borla and Ford Racing both make different mufflers for the V6- the Borla being more expensive

i was curious as to the price difference and manufacturing difference(s) between the two parts as well. I e mailed nino and he says there are no differences except for the logo on the tip. So I just purchased the ford product from nino. I like the fact that the ford (by borla) is all stainless and acsording to borla.com increases CFM by 346. I am anxious to get it in there to ay the least. I only hope that the 4inch tip wont look too out of place.

Just yesterday I parked next to a V6 vert and I wondered if my stock exhaust really looked that bad once

Uhh my 3 yr old son helped me install my GT takeoff muffler so it's pretty easy to do alone or w/ just an extra set of hands. I've heard rumors that Borla is working on a dual setup for the V6 so I'm waiting to hear more on this.

I agree. If you follow my 'STEEDA/SCT/Borla' thread that I posted seperate, this is a straightforward job. I put every possible detail in that thread as to what could possible go wrong. Bottomline: Not much. Just put the car on jack stands, get some basic tools, and do it. Help of friends is a huge plus. All in all my STEEDA/SCT/Borla job was 60 minutes. Muffler alone would be 30 minutes or less.
I posted a link to my 'STEEDA/SCT/Borla' tutorial earlier in this thread.
