Does anyone have an opinion about the CAIs available on ebay that are unbranded. They are less than half the price of the BBK or S&B and 1/3 the price of an airraid.

 

You usually get what you pay for... I'd run the other way

 

Be very, very careful on an un branded CAI or any product for that matter!!

 

Wouldn't touch them with a 10 ft pole. They might be less than half the price, but the box they come in is worth more than the CAI. You couldn't pay me to use one of those things.

Guys, a CAI's just a bent piece of pipe. It eliminates the restrictive stock airbox lid and filter. Justin at VMP dyno'd a slew of them, and found they all dyno within a few whp of each other -- the stock rubber tube's not even a real restriction!

I've been running one of the cosmodynamic / k2motor AEM Brute Force clones for about 6 months now, and I love it to death. $70 shipped, great welds, nice and shiny polished aluminum, the K&N-clone filter even looks to be of good quality.
