Welp I ordered a GT muffler off of ebay and finally got it in today and my boyfriend put it on for me. Once it was all hooked up we started it up and me and my boyfriend are so excited! We both think it sounds way better than before, and hey for only $60...thats a great bonus! His brother, who has been watching - blurts out "i think it kinda sounds like a civic" I can't believe my ears! I know everyone has there opinions but his way way off! It may not sound exactly like a GT as it only has the one muffler but it sounds more like a muscle car now than it did before at anyrate! Anyways my stepdad was really excited when he heard it. I'm very happy with it and with the comments i'm getting from everyone else it sounds NOTHING like a civic!

Celeste, the muffler and tip look good, but you have to leave some space between the tip and the bumper. The metal there will burn the bumper and eventually melt it, as well as take the paint off of the bumper. Get your boyfriend to take the muffler off and bend the hanger (that curved metal bar that holds the muffler on) so that you have at least a half an inch all the way around between the muffler tip and the bumper.
Edit: This may have something to do with the sound as well. The tip could be vibrating against the bumper and making a noise that makes your car sound more like a Civic.

You need to be able to slip your pinky finger in between the tip and the bumper. Let me know how that goes.

Oh and Ian i got my boyfriend to check and there is enough room for his pinky to fit all the way around. Thanks so much for the tip, i feel better knowing it won't mess up my bumper.

the gt muffler on a v6 sound ALOT better than stock, but still leaves something to be desired.....sorta has a buzz saw sound to it, wish mine had a deeper drone. oh well haha.
