I believer the AEM was released a few weeks ago, but I could be wrong. I think thats when I first remember reading about it.

Personally, Im sitting back on my heels and waiting to see what comes around in the next few months. C&L hasnt released numbers yet, and neither has Jay of JLT. Rumor has it C&L may have a kit in serious testing by the end of this month, and probably pushing towards production really soon. From what Ive heard from Jay, hes right there with them. For the money, and seeing what they've both done for the GT, Im definitly waiting to hear from them before I make my choice. Plus being out of work and having no money really isnt rushing things by right now anyway, lol.

That's a good point. If Steeda says a reflash is required, I'd guess its a K & N CAI.

That AEM CAI looks sweet http://www.rpmoutlet.com/05v6aem.htm

Question though. Does anyone know if it 'requires' a tune?

No problem Harry. I'm always amazed how many Greg Davis' are out there. I had a check almost bounce because of another guy with the same name and almost same SSN. I'm thinking about a school like MMI when I get out. Would you recommend it? Sorry, a little off topic.

Hey guys...first of all my name is Myk, from NYC origionally, but stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC for 5 more months. I bought my 05 Stang (Sonic Blue) when I got back from Iraq in March or 05. So far so good...and now I am starting to put some more $ into it. I bought a billet grille, tinted the windows to 20%, got some UPR A/C *****...(REGRETFULL DECISION), put the "Mustang" logo on the 3rd brake light and now have Sirius radio. I am trying to get the most out of my baby, and I was wondering if anyone knows wether or not putting a CAI on FIRST before a dual exhaust is better or no difference at all? Thanks again guys and I am looking foward to being active on this forum as much as piossible!!

Well the CAI will render better performance than the duals most likely, but the duals will get you the better sound. As long as you plan on both it really makes no difference on which is aquired 1st.

Glad to have you onboard

Here's AEM's dyno sheet

http://trucks.aempower.com/pdf/dyno/21-811...ng-V6-Dynos.pdf

10 hp/9 lb-ft gain... doesn't say if it's with a tune or not. It's a decent price from rpmoutlet.

I haven't seen that AEM one before. Looks pretty cool. If it doesn't require a re-tune I might consider buying that one.

That AEM looks sweet. If that's 10 HP without a tune, that's probably worth your money. The K & N looks alittle boring in comparison.

Placed a call several days ago to AEM and left a message asking about the CEL coming on or if the intake needs a reflash. They have yet to respond.

I sent an e-mail almost two weeks ago and have not heard anything back, so I would not hold your breath. Seems like some companys just don't care about making a sale. I even mentioned that the questions I am asking are for several other Mustang owners as well, you think that would make them actually respond to something knowing there is the potential for multiple sales.

On a side note CDC rocks beacause they got back to me within 8 hrs of sending an e-mail on something unrelated to this.
