Yeah, looks like it might be a good choice. They have a size 235/60 R16 that should work real good on the V6 Mustang!
The Tirerack has them for only $60/tire in that size......

Interior Upgrade package....
The 55 sidewall size will throw your speedometer off. Maybe go with 235/60 R16 instead?

55 is the profile of the tire (the distance between the rim and the tread) expressed as a percentage of the tire's width. So a 235/55 tire measures about 235 x .55 = 129.25 mm from the rim to the tread.
To calculate the outside diameter of a tire you multiple the width of the tire by the profile, multiply by 2 to get both sides of the tire, convert to inches, and add the diameter of the wheel.
So the stock tire is: 215 x .65 x 2 = 279.5mm. Converted to inches this is 279.5 / 25.4 = 11.00 inches (there are 25.4 mm per inch). Add the wheel and you get 11.00 + 16.00 = 27.00 inches.
The diameter of a 235/60-16 tire is: 235 x .60 x 2 = 282.0 mm; 282.0 / 25.4 = 11.10 inches + 16.00 = 27.10 inches.
So a 235/60-16 tires makes a pretty good match for the original 215/65-16s.
235/55-16 is too small: it works out to about 26.2 inches in diameter, which is going to give you about 2 mph error at 65 mph.

Personal Experience - I've Had Khumo tires on my cars & I've had BF Goodrich tires on my cars. I prefer the BF Goodrich. On my 05 V6, the Goodrich tires ride outstanding. I haven't spun my tires once. Breaking is excellent, and I have awesome wet traction. I live in Charleston SC, I've put nearly 10k on my car, and I've driven through a TON of rain and deep puddles (only when I have to).
The stock tires are outstanding, and while I have nothing yet to compare them against, I have found the ride to be supurb on them. They give amazing traction, handling, and control. When I'm due to replace the tires, I am considering either the white lettered goodrich's (spec/non-spec, not sure), or a set of Michelins. Always love the ride quality of Michelin tires, and since they own Goodrich, I see it as a step up.
I abhor Khumo tires. I've had 3 sets of them on 2 different cars (because of cost), and I have disliked all 3 sets. They rode rough, wet traction was apalling, and there was definately a lack of control.
That's my 2 cents. Hope it helps some. Take it for what you will - one man's testamony.

Yes what kumhos are you talking of. I asure you they are not these. I persoanlly stand by these you can't cruise at 80 in blistering rain on just any tire with no suffering in traction. These things lay down a path and it's hard to believe the first time i noticed it i started laughing I just couldn't figure it out how a $30-$40 tire can do that when a $90 firestone couldn't. I wish i had thought of what that other guy did and trade while mine were new. I got an extra $100 laying around right now i think i am going to call the tire place and see if i can work out a deal...

Thanks for your impession of the BFG tires that come with the Mustang. I was thinking of replacing them when my car comes in, but maybe now I won't have to!
I'll at least give them a try and see?

For what kind of tire? Make/model/size?

That size would be almost the same as stock for your speedo!
That might be a good way to go for somebody who doesn't like the stock tires.
