Best Muffler for 05
My personal favorite is the Ford Racing Exhaust (by Borla). I'm really happy with mine and the sound is getting more awesome by the day. It'll cost somewhere around $200 but, in my opinion, its worth it.
A lot of people, on the other hand, have been really pleased with the sound provided by upgrading the stock V-6 exhaust with GT takeoff's. This route is less cost but does provide good bang for the buck.

i have the GT takeoff on Betty, and should be putting one on Jane on sunday, it is a good inexpensive mod, easy to do, looks better, and sounds much better.(i never realized how quite and small the V-6 muffler is until I saw Betty and Jane next to each other)
This is just so subjective. Everyone is gonna put what they have on their ride! I felt the single GT take-off was a nice bang for your buck option. You can get the muffler plus the installation for less than $100. Now, I'm going with JBA duals, but if I stuck with a single I'd probably go with either Magnaflow or the Ford Racing axle-back. One advantage to the Magnaflow... Magnaflow has said there's a 10hp gain with both their duals and single. Haven't seen any claimed gains from others.
With the single GT muffler, I did notice a difference. The sound was much deeper and their was a bit of a performance kick.
Here's a clip of mine (minus the shorties I have now)...
