I already have the Bassani mufflers, and am going to order a stock GT driver side exhaust from my dealer.

Now can anyone tell me if this set-up will work?

And will it be street legal?

- GT Driver Side Pipe (Does this have cats?)
- Bassani Muffler
- Bassani Short X-Pipe ( Here is the x-pipe)
- GT hangers

Thanks for the help.

nevermind i;m dumb... I miss rea your post

It could possibly pass emissions without cats but if you don't pass then technicaly it wouldn't be considered street legal...in that case either add cats or register car in a county that doesn't require emission test.

This system bolts up to the CATS..

But let me tell you something.. The design of the Bassani XPIPE fails when it comes to a 2005 V6 SOHC 4.0.. Its mainely designed for the 4.6.. What I am referring to is the tone.. The Magnaflow XPIPE is the one you want, which will make you car sound like a V8 somewhat..

I have sound clips of my system.. If you like, PM me your email, to get these sound clips..

Also, with the Bassani, you only need to buy this portion of the xpipe and take it to a muffler shop..

The cats on the V6 are pretty far forward toward the exhaust manifolds.

Im cutting the y-pipe (leaving the cats intact) and installing this x-pipe with GT pipe and mufflers.

It looks to me like it will bolt right up useing the same mounts on the tranny crossmember.

Im going to try it anyway. Thats a Mac x-pipe
