the other night im in a parking lot with my 11 year old son and i tried some standing still burnouts (about 6 tries) and couldnt do any so i let my 11 year old son drive i let him punch the gas a couple times then i tell him to come to a stop and try a burnout ... and sure enough he gets them spinning his first try (smoke, rooster tail and everything) :bang:
i think my problem with burning out is hitting the brake not too hard but hard enough that i wont move

btu he is always looking at the forums and looking up stuff about the 2005 mustang. (he knows more than i do) :bang:

Letting an 11 year old drive...tsk tsk... heck, my dad didn't let me take the wheel until I was 13!

The kid's a natural!

I can only picture a cop showing up to see what all the commotion was and finding an 11 yr old lighting up the tires

My technique: Overdrive off, AC off, push the brakes and gas, and have fun.

That's funny, it's pretty cool for him you gave him permission. I've only broken my rear loose a couple times and its extremely fun, can't wait to get me a t-lok and paint 2 even lines

wait one sec im confused ... with the t -lock will you only have105 hp to eac of the rear wheels , instead of 210 to one wheel. if so you couldnt light em up am i wrong?

You'll get more traction (better hookup), so it'll translate to more power and speed to the ground. You can still do a burnout with 210 hp no problem, if you want.

my question is will you have 210 hp to each of the rear wheels

Yes they will be shared, but they are working together so you are still planting the same power to the ground.

onefastv6: That 210 is also flywheel horsepower, not rear wheel horsepower. Most v6's are dyno'ing 180-190 at the wheels, and to back everyone else up, yes even with that "low" of power you can easily burnout with a tlok
