If you have the controller allready you can buy just the tune but they want 250.00 for it

I bought my V6 back in March. I did a lot of research on reflashing the computer, which companys had a tuner available, etc. I also read a lot about Lidio and Alternative Auto. It is probably the most repected Mustang shop in Michigan and Lidio one of the top tuners anywhere. So I got a hold of Lidio and asked him about a tune for the V6. He told me that he would be developing one soon... Well, I can be kind of impatient sometimes... I bought one from some one else. I was happy with my X-Cal2 and was running a pretty good 93 Octane tune.
A few weeks ago I called Lidio back to see if he had a V6 tune available. Sure enough he had one! So I took a day off work and headed to Mt. Clemens (about 1.5 hours away). We decided to just load up a 89 Octane tune (I filled the tank with 89 earlier ) All I can say is WOW! Lidio built this tune completely from the ground up and it shows! The car felt more responsive. The shifts were UNBELIEVABLE! My car is chirping the tires on the shifts! When I left there I was absolutely grinning from ear to ear! As far as a measurable difference Lidio's 89 Octane tune shaved .25 to .3 off my 0-60 time versus the 93 Octane tune I was running.
I'm heading back to Alternative Auto on Thursday to put my car on the dyno and see where my car ended up. Last time I was there we simply ran out of time and it was like 100 degrees out! LOL! I'll post the dyno sheet next week... (I'll be at Woodward... so look for me with the Yellow Mustang Registry if you're there too! LOL)
I got to see Lidio in action while I was there... This guy knows his stuff! It was totally amazing to watch this guy work! Surf some of the other stuff on their website and you'll see this place knows what they are doing!
Like Lidio's site says... if you are going to do one Mod on your V6, make it an X-Cal2.... There is no doubt about that! For people who already have an X-Cal2... All I can say is I'm completely satisifed with my purchase of Lidio's tune! It was that much of a difference!

Is it 250$ worth of difference over my 40$ tune though? That price is outrageous.

For me it was.... I got great customer service from the place I originally bought my x-cal2 from.... But after comparing the two tunes, it became apparent that Lidio's tune was much more complete than my previous tune. For me it was worth the money....

I threw together a little graph compare Lidio's 89 Octane tune to the 93 Octane to I got from another very respected dealer. These 0-60 runs were both done at the same location but it was actually a little hotter when I did the run with Lidio's tune.
Lidio's tune was consistently .25 sec. faster and again the shifts are something that just needs to be experienced. Compare the slope on RPM drop during the shift. With Lidio's shift, BAM your in the next gear!
