4.0 to 3.5 Ecoboost swap

4.0 to 3.5 Ecoboost swap
Was wondering if anyone has ever heard of someone swapping the 4.0 V6 out for a 3.5L Ecoboost TT out of an F150 and what all would need to be swapped out, like would the transmission already in the 4.0 bolt up to the 3.5? Or would that need to be swapped out along with the rear gears? Just need to know what I'm going to get my self into

No I have not heard of anyone doing that .... but I bet Dave Kindig could do it for about $100-200K or so
... and you might get an awesome paint job in the deal too
But seriously, it is a huge job with a lot more involved than just swapping the engine .... all of the electronics and controls are integrated and would need to be swapped out also ... you would probably need a donor F150 to get all the parts out of, and they probably won't fit in the Mustang ..... hopefully someone else might chime in with a better "second opinion" but I think this would be cost prohibitive

We Get Folks in Here All The Time That Do Minor Retrofits and its a Struggle To get Them To Play Nice!
