3.73s to 4.10s is it even worth it?

Hey guys, I originally wanted to put 4.10s in but opted for 3.73s due to some advice a friend gave me. I'm now considering getting 4.10s and a TA Performance rear cover. What do you guys think? I know the new gears will kill my MPG and will suck for highway driving, but I don't care about that. I'm just looking for better acceleration and "seat of the pants" feel.

Actually if you had to pick I would go for a Track-lock over the TA diff cover... Unless your really adding a lot of power to your car it's not needed..

Thanks for the reply sir, I put a Trac-loc in a while ago and it's great. I thought that a diff cover/girdle would be a good addition especially since I will be going with a power adder or nitrous set up in the coming months. Thanks for the info.

oops... I'm bad.. I missed that... LOL!
For the TA cover you will need a relocation bracket for the panhard... BMR makes one... (sorry if you already knew that too! LOL!)
I believe Nitrous would be that hardest on the rear end... I'm at 384ft/lbs with no girdle.... of course I'm still running street tires... once you move to something more sticky... all bets are off! LOL!
That being said I'll probably be doing the girdle thing shortly...
Funny girdle story... I'm in my favorite performance shop... I ask them about the axle girdle... the shop guy calls Drive Train Specialist... Now we've got the phone on speaker phone... Performance shop guy asks DTS guy "do you have an axle girdle for the Ford 7.5?" The DTS guy says "well as ridiculus as it sounds, yes we do... " hmmmm.... of course i yell out "HEY!" The DTS guy say "what was that?" Perfornace shop guy say" That was my customer you just insulted!" LOL! Ok... was pretty funny at the time... LOL
