the cobra was rated 390 @ the crank, but i personally saw one put down 391rwhp bone stock. thats what i call underrated lol. Got a buddy with a black 03. Full headers, exhaust, intake, chip, pulley. Still stock blower (no P&P) and he puts down 518rwhp.

Funny, i've seen a stock 01 go a 13.1 at sears point raceway in california. (less tires maybe?) and numorous terminator cobra's in the mid 12's stock.
According to that i can take a 93 cobra with just my bolt ons (as of next week at least i hope lol)

This is the reason I will try my best to avoid the Cobra's.. "Objects in mirror may be closer than they appear"..!!

OK!! Scrming is right... With a bone stock 03-04 Cobra running 12.9's, they are indeed fairgame... Thanks Scrming..
So the original poster is on the right track... They are not invincible..

I used to own a 93 Cobra... It made 235HP stock.. This is why I loved the 05 V6's, because my car felt like it pulled just as hard...
This was my 93 Cobra, I just got the wheels polished...

This car in the picture is from the Mustang Source gallery.. Mine was identicle, same color.. I had the wheels polished...

Beautiful car!! I miss my 93 5.0, I wish I would have kept it and turned it into my track car.

Great to hear.. Dang I posted this and went and watched a movie came back and got confusing.. lol So it's nice to hear that we have a good motive to keeping up with the SVT's . Maybe they should delete this post before they get wind of all this...
MSP, you got a Vortech Supercharger? How does it run? How many horses do you get at the crank? a Procharger... Direct Quote "You are bidding on a brand new 2005 Procharger Tuner Kit for your 2005-06 Mustang V6 Bolt on an additional 70-75% more power in a matter of hours. This kit is top notch in every aspect; Procharger has done a great job in designing this kit. Includes P1SC head unit in Satin. You can easily shave up to 2 seconds of your ET's with only 9lbs of boost on pump gasoline! This means stock motors produce 400+ RWHP, and are able to run well into the 11‘s with their typical 3,800 lb loaded weight" so umm. a Stock v6 gets 210 right? and we'll 75% of 210 = 367 hp.. So I'm trying to figure out where they are getting 400hp? YMS Procharger.. So if this is true.. and i've heard that our stock rearends can handle this and along with the auto trans. (not the manual)? So Can ya'll put some verification on this?
Sorry very automotive illitearte.. I'm a computer junky, cars is new to me, wasn't interested till the release of the 05' Mustang

I'll be able to answer more in depth questions sometime next week... Please bare with me until then... It is very important that Dyno sheets be posted when talking in this regard.. I dont feel comfortable getting to heavily involved in numbers until then..
This info means a tremendous amount to us as a V6 community, and everything must be 100% accurate.. A dyno sheet is the only way to handle this.. So until then, we will quietly keep to ourselves and preserve our right to pounce when the time is right.. LOL!!
I respectlfully refer to Belial at this time, to answer your other questions..

Oh ok... I thought you lived in the Central Valley...
I will see about getting to a track soon... My problem is, I work the night shift, and on weekends.. I am a Dedicated Chevron Tanker driver, and my primary responsibilty is to make sure the surrounding Airports do not run out of Jet Fuel... So I will have to plan everything, pretty much down to using the bathroom.. LOL!!

Well, for all the bad experience I had, Procharger still makes a darn good blower. I went from a factory-rated 210 at the crank to approximately 350 at the crank with 7psi of boost, intercooled, with a custom tune. Does that make sense on 7psi? Nope, but the dyno doesn't lie. Remember that besides just the supercharger, you're getting a custom performance tune to go with it. These tunes are usually good for a good bit more power, so keep that in account when calculating your percentage increases. These numbers are not an exact science. Every car and every engine is different.
Anyway, 9PSI of boost should have you around 370-380 at the crank, but don't forget, not all horsepower is created equal. The total area under the power curve for these centrifugals is a little less than, say, an NA engine or twin screw supercharger.
This is why my ~350 crank HP feels and behaves comparably to ~300-320; my procharger isn't really kicking much boost until 4000 RPM.
Could I take a 2004 cobra now? heck no, they simply produce much more power. Could I give him a better run for his money than a 2004 GT? Definitely.
Speaking of dyno sheets, the car goes back in monday to get its tune cleaned up, and I'll ask the guys to get me a clean copy of a good WOT pull. I'll post it when I get it.

For now Belial you are the inspiration... People around here want to hear about stories, about how you walked a GT with 1 wheel.. LOL!!
The fact that the GT could not beat you outright with POSI traction speaks volumes for the power of your car... The fact that he was a 5spd to your automatic and couldnt run away, speaks volumes..
We'll get these things straightend out sooner or later, it just takes time..
I think its alittle disrespectful that we have not even seen pictures of your car under the hood, or a quick video... LOL!! Just kiddin..

I just you want you to be happy... If you feel bad, we all feel bad.. We are all on same team.. The more of a success your V6 is, the more we are better off as a community.. I want you to get to 400HP @ 10PSI if you can..

Very good point, he did walk that car with only one wheel. He will be doing just fine once he gets a TLOK or TT and a tune I'm sure.
