I just got mine in last night and loaded the 87 tune. WOW what a difference. Much crisper throttle response and it really seems to pull harder in the gears.

Out of curiosity, how much power does the 87 tune on a stock 5spd make? I don't have a CAI but will be getting one next month for my birthday.

oh and one more thing, did the Bamachips package include the USB cable? If so, then my programmer didn't come with it.

Just got my X-Cal Yesterday (Monday), didn't even notice it sitting at the front door! Uploaded the 93 Performance Tune, while talking to Doug on the other end of the phone, I sounded like a little kid and all I have to saw is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! The car just came alive!!!! HAHAHA and taking my dad for a spin, he was like, "what the heck did you do to this thing?"

That was for the first 20 miles. Then I went over and stopped at "elvism" house to give him a ride with the tunes. Drove the Performance Tune for about 5 miles, he def noticed it! So we pull over and upload the 93 Torque Tune, started the car, punched it from 1st gear and all I could say was, HOLY S***!!! This was beyond WOW!!! The torque on this tune was unbelievable. Driving around the first couple of miles, I sware, the front end of the car wanted to levitate off the ground in 1st and 2nd gear!! It really pulled and def put you into the seat. "Elvism" i think walked away with a skid-mark in his pants when I brought him back to his house after going cruising with these tunes. So now I've been running the torque tune as my everyday driving and will run both tunes at the track when the weather gets cooler!

Doug, I can't thank you enough for an outstanding job you have done! Very satisfied customer!!!! And did a great job tuning for the K&N!! BamaChips is #1 in my book!

Can I still get in on this group buy? I sent an e-mail to Doug today but I'm not able to provide the calibration code as my car has been in the body shop since 08/05 being repaired. (Mustang sandwich) I've looked all over for a phone number and could not find one.

it is to our understanding Doug is down for quite a bit due to the massive storm of Hurricane Katrina, I think if you sent him an e-mail today, you're just in time.

I have tried e-mail and PMs... no reply from Doug. Guess he's still without power. I'll send another one though.

You're ok . . . . we got you on the list before September 1st so if it takes a few days for him to get back in business after the power problems he had, he'll still honor his commitment and your order.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Doug for his customer service. I had an issue with my 93 tunes and called Doug for advice. He is overnighting me a new X-cal2 and updated tunes. Bamachips really sets the benchmark in good customer service. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking to buy an X-cal2.

Thanks Doug!

XCalibrator 2 Group Buy, ORDER DEADLINE August 31st, 2005

Ok folks . . . it's September 1, 2005 . . . the dead line for orders has passed and this Group Purchase is officially closed.

Doug will be offering this same package now for $379.00 to TMS members. Please contact him directly via e-mail at 'bamachips@gmail.com' or by telephone at 205-471-4597 if you are interested.

I want to thank everyone who participated in this very successful group purchase effort :worship: .

I don't yet have a final count from Doug of total orders received and expect that given his circumstances we probably won't know for sometime but we did exceed the minimum requirement by a substantial margin .

I know that Doug will do everything possible to get your orders out in a timely manner but given the chaos in his neck of the woods it would be nice if we showed patience and extended him some flexibility.

Thanks again!

Hakuna Matata . . . . The Lyin King

Judging by the website, Doug is going to help in MS with the aftermath of Katrina. I hope everyone can be patient and not overwhelm his email acct. Our orders will be fulfilled in due time. Good luck, Doug!

Here's what his website says . . .

"Due to Hurricane Katrina, BamaChips is temporarily closed. If I have received an order or email from you, I promise you will have a response when I return home. For now I'm headed down to Mississippi for a short time. If you have any issues with your products please don't dismay, I will address them after I return and my standard rule still applies, if you aren't happy then I'll give you a full refund so you are still covered. Until then you may consider calling SCT direct at 1-866-637-1673 if you are having problems with your hardware.

I'm truly sorry about this inconvenience and assure you that once I return home my business will continue as it used to.

Thanks for all of your support!

Douglas Studdard-BamaChips."

It's to ensure that these devices do not power up and cause a voltage spike during the data transfer which could possibly corrupt the data.
