Which X Pipe would you choose and why?

I am thinking of going with one of the Short X Pipes on my car and was wondering what would some of you choose out of the ones i have listed and Why. I have to go with one of the Short X Pipes because I live in Comifornia.

I am looking at the Pypes, Bassani and Ford Racing.

If you know of other please list them.

Pypes

Ford Racing

Bassani

I chose the bassani because, well, that's what i have. Ha but the reason i have it is because i think bassani has the best sound. Granted i haven't heard the ford pypes in person, but based on videos online as well as reading the forums, the bassani sounded the best. And let me tell you, combined with my borla stingers, they are pure bliss each time i press the accelerator. I don't think i'll ever run a different system than this.

I've had that Bassani and not only does it look great and is made of good material but it's also a true "X" design.

I picked Bassani. It sounds great and its modular, you can easily (kinda) switch from factory cats, to high flow cats, to OR pipes.

I have the Ford racing one with Stingers. I love the sound. Since it's the only X-pipe I've used I can't say for sure about the others. By looking at construction the Bassani looks a lot better, the opening on the ford pipe where the to pipes come together is a lot smaller than I would have thought.

Still it was cheap and it sounds good, I've been happy with it.

Next month I have a new exhaust system planned and I'm getting Bassani. Better quality and sound. Cant wait!

Edit, bah this is 2005+ section. Oh well it still is exhausting.

Is the factory pipe it replaces two piece? If yes, do the pieces fit interchangeably? (basically do you have to modify either set, to run half and half).

Yeah cost is one of the factors i am weighing. I really am leaning towards the Bassani but the pricing on the other has me teeter tottering back and forth as to which way i want to go.

The stock H Pipe has to be cut out to install any of the ones i listed.

If its a direct fit pipe (uses factory cats) the H-pipe has to be cut. If you get the Bassani modular X-pipe, it includes downpipe, cats, and O.R pipes. Its a bit pricey though.

Why do you want to install an X-pipe with factory cats? Does it really change the sound of the exhaust for the better and is there any performance gains?

I know this isn't an option, but I'm in love with my catted Magnaflow X-pipe.

One reason is I cannot touch the cast since i live in Comifornia. Technically none of you can since it is actually a Federal law. But more so for us.

Second i does change the sound and has been said to tone down the drone of the stingers Not that i am bothered by that. And yes it does give a small increase in power from what i have read.

Sounds good, any concrete performance gains (HP #'s)? I want to stay legal as well due to gas fumes, so I am considering an X mid pipe or LT's with cats. LT's look a major pain and I am not sure if I want to spend the time or money.
Do you know if the x-midpipe makes the exhaust any louder over the stock H-pipe?
